Junior released because of NYT, certainly not transparent. Who leaked to NYT, since it came from the WH?

There are clearly two wings in the WH, the family and bannon/Miller. It's too obvious to me who's leaking back and forth .

And this is not an exaggeration. Every single one of these scumbags had ample opportunity to disclose these meetings months ago, and NONE of them did. If there was nothing illegal going on, why did all of them lie?

Since birther trump fashions himself as the CT king, there could be more misdirection here. Good thing Mueller has such a big staff.

Now that the senate is staying in town until 8/11, giving GOPs the chance to hide from constituents, wondering what the house will do.

The house may force a fall shutdown over trump's wall. It's being driven by the Alabama GOP senate primary on 8/15, giving Rep. Mo Brooks a shot at sitting Sen. Luther Strange. Stay tuned .

This is what really frustrates me.

We have an IRONCLAD ADMISSION OF GUILT, yet these guys are still claiming it's a "nothingburger."

They are completely and utterly divorced from reality. They don't care. Their guy is president, and ergo everything bad about him is FAEK NOOZ.
 
Yeah, that's pretty sick!

Imagine struggling to complete a bill that's so bad, so unpopular, that the reps can't go home to face the citizenry! So they stay hidden away from them, struggling to find 50 votes. How can this be representation? Who are they representing?
 
Because it's no longer about truth or fiction, right or wrong, legal or illegal, Constitutional or un-Constitutional, patriotic or unpatriotic.

Instead it's about: "I have the power, and I want to get my self-serving way".

Hard to even call these guys fellow-citizens anymore, much less patriots.

Apparently, there is nothing -- no crime, no ethically devoid activity, nothing whatsoever -- that won't be excused, since it kept Hillary Clinton out of the White House. These freaks have been convinced for three decades that she is Mephistopheles incarnate; ergo, if anything stymies the Clintons, it is by default OK.

I don't like Hillary Clinton AT ALL, but she's not Magneto, no matter how much these idiots try to claim she is. Donald Trump is a million times more unethical and corrupt than Hillary Clinton. This is incontrovertible fact.

100 percent correct. These people have no moral compass, no ethics whatsoever. It is simply all about power.

Every time you see a wingnut talk about how liberals and/or Democrats are trying to consolidate power, oppress their political enemies, etc., it is ALWAYS projection to the Nth degree.

I can think of about five conservative posters here I have a shred of respect for; fewer for national-level "conservative" politicians or pundits. The vast majority of them are unspeakably awful.
 
I will say this:

I'm blown away by the lack of patriotism and allegiance to America, that I'm seeing. I'm not joking, here. I'm seeing a side of my fellow citizens I never imagined. It's really scary ****. This is the first time in my relatively long life, that I'm fearful for my country. And while I was pretty young then, I lived through Nixon!

This strikes me as scarier. More dangerous. More divisive.
 

Let's just say, hypothetically, that Trump is impeached or (much more likely) resigns in disgrace. The wingnut backlash will be astronomical.

This "voter fraud" committee is a fishing expedition to figure out how better to disenfranchise Democratic consituencies. According to either Tweedledum or Tweedledumber, critics of their father are not people.

I mean come on, the lawyer had them release the emails, little Don didnt do it on his own. They are having him act stupid, obviously the cover was supposed to be the orphans but they got scooped so this is damage control now.

Yes. You are correct. It is worse. It is more dangerous. It is more divisive. It is, in fact, catastrophic . I have no idea where this will lead, but I know that it will be worse than Nixon's Watergate cover up. Our president has sold us out to our worst adversary in order to line his own pockets, and to benefit his own Trump Corporation bottom line. Our nation is being held hostage to the profit of a President who cares more for his company's bottom line than he does for the American people, and the false promises he made to them.
 


The shocking levels of ignorance, misunderstandings, paranoias, and passionate prejudices and bigotry of such a large portion of our population have always been a weak point of our nation. It doesn't take much to fan these to white hot temperatures by the likes of FOXNews, Hannity, and Limbaugh. They can then be used by anyone from Putin to Trump to The Koch brothers to advance their personal agendas and interests, often on their backs. You just have to know how to speak their language: keep it at about the level of a fifth grade schoolyard bully. That's what they understand. Anything else and you'll be talking over their heads. But do that and you have yourself a large rent-a-mob with these people. They are a tool and you can use them as you wish. Yes, they will even passionately defend foreign hostile powers manipulating our elections.

During the general election there were a few people here that said they would support Hitler before Clinton. Cons were always very anti-communist and anti-fascist. So at the time I thought such talk was just some rabid RW's trolling.

But after months of seeing Cons lie for, excuse and defend Trump and defending Russia and Putin I truly believe now that they would tear down the country, and strip away our Rights to keep an (R) in the White House. Trump and his people looked to a country who's been our adversary for 50+ years to help him win the election, and millions of his so called Conservative supporters don't care.

Ronald Reagan must be spinning in his grave.
