Greg Hicks: I thought it was a terrorist attack from the get-go. I think everybody in the mission thought it was a terrorist attack from the beginning.
Question: ...Did you ever have any indication that there was a protest, a popular protest, outside the mission in Benghazi?
Greg Hicks: No question.
Question: And if there was such a protest, would that have been reported?:
Greg Hicks: Absolutely... for there to have been a demonstration on Chris Stevens' front door and him not to have reported it is unbelievable.
Bob Schieffer: So Mr. Issa, why would the administration put out a storyline that was so different from what US officials in Libya knew immediately?
Darrell Issa: Bob, that's the great question . We can't find a classified reason for it, we can't find a diplomatic reason for it. Understand that Gregory Hicks, who became the charge, became the acting Ambassador, witnessed our relationship with Libya on this show go the wrong way. Because on this show, Susan Rice says, it was a protest. Well the President, the elected President saying, no it's a terrorist attack. You can't insult a foreign leader in a greater way than happened literally here, just those few days later.
Bob Schieffer: But do you think they were trying to cover...
"...I've never been as embarrassed in my life, in my career, as on that day," Hicks continued in his interview with investigators. "The net impact of what has transpired is, [Rice,] the spokesperson of the most powerful country in the world, has basically said that the president of Libya is either a liar or doesn't know what he's talking about. ....My jaw hit the floor as I watched this."
"Everybody in the mission" in Benghazi, Libya, thought the attack on a U.S. consulate there last Sept. 11 was an act of terror "from the get-go," according to excerpts of an interview investigators conducted with the No. 2 official in Libya at the time, obtained by CBS News' "Face the Nation."

[h=1]Dem Rep. on Benghazi Talking Points: 'It Was Scrubbed ... It Was False Information. There's No Excuse For That.'[/h]
Democratic congressman Stephen Lynch said this morning on TV that Susan Rice used "scrubbed" talking points on Benghazi to deliver "false information" to the American people:
"Absolutely, they were false, they were wrong," said Lynch, after being asked about Steve Hayes's report on "The Benghazi Talking Points."
"There were no protests outside the Benghazi compound there. This was a deliberate and strategic attack on the consulate there," said the Democratic congressman.
"It was false information. There's no excuse for that."

Wait, is this what you people have been whining about all along? Whether or not it was labeled a terrorist attack?
Darrell Issa: And ambassadors know that the one thing you don't do is contradict your host, especially at a time when you need their cooperation. This was a fatal error to our relationship at least for a period of time and we can't find the purpose. Secretary Clinton should have been above all else, the person who was on the same sheet of music with the Libyan government and she wasn't.
Bob Schieffer: Well, Mr. Hicks' had also testified that he had called Beth Jones, the Acting Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs at the state department, the morning after these Sunday shows and he asked her,
Gregory Hicks: Why did Ambassador Rice say that?
And Beth Jones told him, "I don't know." So Mr. Hicks is saying that a key State Department official said she didn't know why the Ambassador has indicated the attacks were spontaneous.
Darrell Issa: Not only that, he indicated in his testimony that these were unwelcome. That he felt very much like Beth Jones didn't want to hear from him, and in the days and weeks to come, that continued. One of the amazing things is, here you have the person on the ground who probably, of anyone in Tripoli knows more about what was going on, he's never seen the classified ARB report. They have not let him see it. So when he says that that is a flawed report, he says so with the same information we have publicly--
Coverup, and lies...
My bet is it was all due to the election.

The White House cover up was all about getting Obama reelected, it's a no brainer.
What the hearings that will be taking place this Wednesday in Congress on why the military wasn't allowed to respond on 9-11-12 are probably going to reveal that "Commander and Chief" Barack Obama is guilty of Article 92 of the UCMJ, "Dereliction of Duty."
Just because one person posts 50 threads on the subject doesn't mean there is lots of people caring about it. Yes, you yell loud, but that does not mean there is a huge uproar about this. That really makes you more like the small child having a meltdown in a store. Yes, it is loud and everyone around hears it, but most are really around waiting for the child's parents to lose it and beat the crap out of their brat, and making comments about how stupid the child is.
Oh wait, I think I heard someone in Utah said benghazi you better post another thread.

Please consider this and answer honestly, would you be as unconcerned if George Bush was president when this happened?
Nah that wasn't Utah.....that was California and it was Jack Nicholson. Then he said something about people not being able to handle the Truth, or something like that.
This is the crack in the damn, the chink in the armor, there is a whole bunch more coming out on this and soon so hold onto your hats it's gonna be a wild ride.

ABSOLUTELY! Clinton's 'I didn't have sexual relations with that woman', Bush's WMD assertion both infuriated me. Of course we don't know what EXACTLY happened and much is speculated but that is kinda the point. Is our intelligence arm so weak that we cannot figure out what happened 6 months later? One hopes and believes their leader is somewhat honest but unfortunately they are not which undermines government support. It certainly somewhat supports the recent poll where 27% think an armed uprising is in our near future.
This is just like waiting for the lottery results. Tererun's response should be interesting but probably predictable.
Due to lax security and ignoring reports from his intelligence community GWB allowed the biggest US civilian death toll from a single attack on american soil on september 11th 2001. Of course, the right doesn't like blaming GWB for that but if Obama is this responsible for benghazi certainly GWB is that responsible for 9/11. Still benghazi didn't happen in the continental US, nor did we have control over the areas where it did happen like we did with 9/11, but that just makes 9/11 all the worse for george.
I doubt it.. The conspiracy theorists have made hash out of the actual timeline... and the lies are so obvious.
This ranks up there with birthers, truthers, BigFoot and Chemtrails.
Just because there are many threads on the subject doesn't mean Libs will give a damn about it. We won't. We are immune to the truth. The truth will not set us free. We enjoy and wallow in our ignorance and denial. We love to wallow. Git it?
Yes, you yell loud, but that does not mean there is a huge uproar about this because Benghazi "was a long time ago". And hey! We only accept loud yelling about Bush and Republicans. For this there is no statute of limitations and no restrictions on how much we can bash that prick. Fer eem, it is never a long time ago. That's why we believe our King Il Dong when he blames Bush. Git it?
That really makes you more like the small child having a meltdown in a store because we do not give a damn that our King Il Ding Dong has lied, deceived and covered up to gain power. We really do not care. Not in the least. We embrace the motto of that great Oakland Raiders chief Al Davis... just win baby. Lie, cheat, steal... we don't care. Git it?
Yes, it is loud for us Libs and everyone around hears it... though we will not admit it, for we are immune... or pretend to be, but most are really around the child's parents to lose it and beat the crap out of their brat because we are tolerant and open minded and non-violent PETA types who advocate abusing children and abortion and the like, and generally enjoy making comments about how stupid the child of Bush 41 is. Let's rephrase that; the truth is stupid. In other words, we are frustrated that some folks on the right are trying to force feed us the truth. It's not going to work. We have Kool-Aid... WE ARE IMMUNE! Git IT?
Oh wait gotta head to the fridge... Kool-Aid is getting low, hey... I think I heard someone in Utah... never mind... it was the cat... And the cat said benghazi! Small "b" too... so you better cool it or we will go postal if you try and force feed us another thread about William Ayers... I mean Wright... ah... err... ah... nevermind I can''t remember. Hey a-hole... don't Bogart the doobie... and ahhh hell, where's my Kool-Aid... damn... quick... the immunity thang is wearing off.
I totally agree, some people on the left cannot handle the truth that Obama was caught with his pants down and dick out as the US had weak security because his administration denied sufficient defense in a terror zone that was capitalized on by a bunch of terrorists who were pissed about a non-video video (not really) in an unstable country... er known terror laden zone. It doesn't bother us though... because he's our King Il Ding Dong and we love him so. VIVA!.
