Well. I wonder if this is some of the material behind the "we may resign" rumors floating out of the FBI.

The intelligence community has now deemed some of Hillary Clinton’s emails “too damaging" to national security to release under any circumstances, according to a U.S. government official close to the ongoing review. A second source, who was not authorized to speak on the record, backed up the finding....

Fox News is told the emails include intelligence from "special access programs," or SAP, which is considered beyond “Top Secret.” A Jan. 14 letter, first reported by Fox News, from intelligence community Inspector General Charles McCullough III notified senior intelligence and foreign relations committee leaders that "several dozen emails containing classified information” were determined to be “at the CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET, AND TOP SECRET/SAP levels."...

Under the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, there is an exemption that allows for highly sensitive, and in this case classified, material to be withheld in full -- which means nothing would be released in these cases, not even heavily redacted versions, which has been standard practice with the 1,340 such emails made public so far by the State Department. According to the Justice Department FOIA website, exemption “B3” allows a carve-out for both the CIA and NSA to withhold "operational files." Similar provisions also apply to other agencies...

FBI investigators looking into the emails are focused on the criminal code pertaining to “gross negligence” in the handling and storage of classified information, and “public corruption"...

To go ahead and head off the "OH IT"S FOX NEWS AD SOURCINEM MEANS I CAN PRETEND TO SEE NOTHING HEAR NOTHING KNOW NOTHING" hysterics about to enter the thread....

Obama Administration Says It.

:)

I am trying to restrain my disappointment. Another smoking gun, Fox News, I just aint getting my hopes up.

Makes you wonder what the Russians and Chinese now know that they absolutely shouldn't.

Good night. Literally the third post.

Comey is pissed. He's basically saying that if this isn't enough to indict someone, then nothing is. I hope he goes fully public with all this if the judicial system fails to do its job here.

Indictment or not, at this point, I think the public is about to see Hillary fully exposed soon. You know the DNC is freaking out.

 feel the Bern. God I would love to see Marco Rubio against Bernie Sanders.

I believe the FBI will go very, very public if they're satisfied the Obama administration is not going to pursue an indictment. In that case, the FBI won't let this hang around until after the general election.

We're on the same page, although I'm starting to fall into the anybody-Republican-but-Trump crowd. He's as embarrassing as her.

Meanwhile, CNN and the mainstream media is Trumping all over themselves trying as hard as they can to ignore this. THIS IS THE BIGGEST STORY GOING RIGHT NOW, and they want to act like it's not happening.

I think the problem for me, cp, is not that it's fox news. it's that we've seen this same god damn headline every day for about a year now and nothing has happened. I'm really, really eager for either A) someone to actually file some charges or B) everyone to shut the **** up about it. there's lots of other stuff to criticize Hillary on.

it didn't sound like the poster you quoted was criticizing fox news. it sounded like they were just saying "oh it's another smoking gun from fox news. we've heard this already. not getting my hopes up."

Exactly the point. Something like yelling "wolf" over and over and over. At what point do the Fox believers finally quit getting all excited every time?

Someone please wake me up when someone actually faces a real, filed, legitimate indictment.

All these "sources not authorized to speak on this" but do anyway make it sound like a title wave is on the way, then nothing happens. I'm starting to think all these sources are just ****ing with FoxNews for pure entertainment.

Yeah, check the link and me pre-mocking your argument

like another poster mentioned - I'm tired of the "source unauthorized to speak on the record" stuff. it's been dragging on for way too long and until something actually happens, people are still not going to give a **** about it.

Associated Press, not Fox News, said Obama administration called the e-mails too classified to release.

News from The Associated Press

We only know the tip of the iceberg.

I don't care if it's fox, cnn, msnbc, the DPRK state news agency, or whoever. we've seen the same damn headline every day forever now. until something actually happens, it doesn't seem worth paying much attention to anymore.

We will see. I hope the Republicans are at least competent enough to ruin her hopes for POTUS or even get her arresred, if there is really evidence this time...I think this is smoking gun 325 or something.

Patience is required.

Patience is required.

So is an indictment, at least you would think. This is becoming conspiracy level thinking.

Is there anything on the horizon other than FoxNews stories based on "sources not authorized to comment" on this?

Yeah...325 or so...but this time...

...this time...

...or next time...

...the real thing.

Or the time after that.

You'll see!

You'll all see!

The headlines of which you speak, were not involving the FBI, but rather a Congressional committee. There is a HUGE difference between an FBI investigation and a partisan Congressional investigation, so they are not the same headlines - not even close.

Yeah...325 or so...but this time...

...this time...

...or next time...

...the real thing.

Or the time after that.

You'll see!

You'll all see!

Wait, I've got it! Another Congressional hearing... It'll work this time! She'll cave and say something, we'll win!

I don't know. Whatever we've heard through the grapevine is not the meat of it. The resources devoted to investigate this would've been rolled up and reassigned long ago if they found little or nothing.

I don't get this. If the emails are too classified to be released, they are too classified to be kept on an unsecured server.

Isn't that called evidence?
