Washington (CNN)It was a wild night at CNN's GOP debate at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California, and it took a toll on Donald Trump as he sparred with Carly Fiorina and Jeb Bush and sustained attacks from just about everybody on the stage.

The odds of Trump winning the GOP nomination fell 8 percentage points to 12%, according to the Political Prediction Market from CNN and Pivit.

The Political Predict Market is a game run by the company Pivit that uses polls and other factors and input from players who weigh in on the increasing or decreasing chance that a candidate or party wins or loses an election.

Marco Rubio was the early winner, according to Political Prediction Market data collected during the debate. The odds of Rubio winning the GOP nomination rose 6 points to 15%.

Carly Fiorina also rose by 2 points to 16% odds and Jeb Bush rose by 1 point to 18% odds to win the GOP nomination. Bush currently has the best odds, but not by much.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson had been nipping at front-runner Trump's heels in recent opinion polls. But the odds of a Carson nomination went down by 4 points during the debate, according to the calculation.

The first debate saw some major movement on the Political Prediction Market from CNN and Pivit. The odds of former New York Gov. George Pataki dropping out of the race by Nov. 1 went up 15 percentage points to 55% odds, according to Pivit. The other candidates on the market did not see nearly that amount of movement.

Rubio won the night according to this

I gave it to him and Fiorina as a tie

I'm thinking Trump has a way of turning such analysis and "odds-makers" on their heads.

I'm not all that much impressed or concerned by what these guys have to say.

Gibberish.

Trump is by far in the lead, and he's not showing any evidence of going anywhere.

This is just a means for those worried about Trump to feel better.

Good luck with that.

Carly has made inroads since second debate

And Rubio got a nice bump

Carson is taking a hit now.....and Trump is still rolling

Who would have thought this far in, we would have

Trump
Fiorino
Carson
Rubio

as the top 4?

i sure in the hell didnt

Re: Odds of Donald Trump nomination drop after CNN debate on Political Prediction Mar

I am wondering if the "odds-makers" have appropriately factored in the odds of Trump stepping out and running as a independent, which I personally believe is better than not. It's just a matter of time before this baby gets mad at the Republican's not "treating him fairly" and takes his bat and goes home.

If Donald Trump is not already the Republican's worst nightmare, he will be.

Trump pussed out on Colbert tonight.

Big fat meatball of a question, is Obama a US citizen?

He didn't answer....

LOL

Btw, as of yesterday's polls Trump is still riding high and no candidate, but Carson in some of the polls, is even close.

Ingenious thing the Democrats did, getting Trump to run as a Republican. One party hasn't been this successful infiltrating the other since Watergate.

Well put and just maybe a bit of truth. Trump has been a democrat and independent much longer than a republican.

When I first watched the Republican debate, I thought that he might be leading. You know he is a type of Russian Jirinovskiy - always being emotional, showing low tolerance and saying he is different from other politicians. And good at rhetoric.
