WASHINGTON — President Obama will become the first sitting American president to visit Hiroshima, Japan, the White House announced on Tuesday, making a fraught stop this month at the site where the United States used an atomic bomb at the end of World War II.
The visit, hotly debated in the White House for months as the president planned his coming trip to Vietnam and Japan, carries weighty symbolism for Mr. Obama, who is loath to be seen as apologizing for that chapter in American history.
“He will not revisit the decision to use the atomic bomb at the end of World War II,” Benjamin J. Rhodes, his deputy national security adviser for strategic communication, said in a blog post on Medium. “Instead, he will offer a forward-looking vision focused on our shared future.”

An historic move none the less. His office said he will not revisit the decision to drop the bomb or not but instead use this visit to continue to look to ways to find ways to help stop the spread of nuclear weapons. But none the less its still an historic visit.

Obamas hindsight is as bad as his foresight. Who cares what he says? Not much can be done to change what happened. But Obama will parade around like a **** rooster, and spout his usual bull****. Not even newsworthy.
I'll bet $100.Want to bet he apologizes?
He "sucked Cuba's dick"?First he goes and sucks Cuba's dick (and got pissed all over for his troubles), and now this kowtowing nonsense.
 Yea! How dare he do historic things! It's like this mope told his staff to go out and find a bunch of "historic firsts!" he could do before leaving office in order to pad his legacy and now he's off on a whirlwind tour.

Who cares what he says? Try 75% of the world.
And of course Obama can not change the past, but that is a terrible criticism. You could make the same argument about visiting a Holocaust museum or the Berlin wall or Normandy or ANY location where a historical event took place.
Commemorating the actions of his murderous Democratic predecessor.
75% of the world laugh at what he says.

You mean he is acting like every President in the twilight of their second term? Shocking.
As for Cuba, that'll go down as another positive legacy moment for Obama.
Hmmm.. Im guessing you mean reestablishing diplomatic relations is "sucking Cuba's dick" :roll:Metaphorically at least, though it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he went down on every man in the entire nation while he was there.
Except your last comment seems to imply that you do...I don't think there's anything wrong with doing things that become historic.
There was a "bucket list"? I mean the "historic things" seem to be reestablishing relations with Cuba and visiting a Japanese city, Hiroshima... How outrageous! :roll:But to create an "Historic Things" bucket list and then rush out all of a sudden and do them during the waning months of your presidency,
Oh yes. I one day visit to Hiroshima is going to distract everyone! It only appeals to idiots! If this is true, then why are you so upset over it?in order to pad what can only objectively be called a dismal foreign policy record otherwise, is cheap pandering that would only appeal to the shallow sort of idiot who is taken in by insubstantial pandering and other window dressing type policy.
Your the one who seems to be very upset.... Doesnt seem to be a "whatev" kinda issue for you. Metaphors of sucking dick and theories of "pading a failed foreign policy"Whatevs though, the long nightmare will be over soon.

Oh, look, fanboiz gonna fanboi.
Yawnz.

Oh, look, haters gonna hate.
*Drops the Mic*
I just think you getting upset about him visiting Hiroshima as a symbolic activity and as well meet with Japanese leaders and discuss ways to stop the spread of nuclear activity is pretty silly. I think you would know and understand that much of what a President, and any leader of any country does on foreign visits is not only a way to espouse diplomacy between countries but also some of what they do in actions is symbolic... Any president and essentially and foreign leaders takes such actions of symbolic activity. If anything I think this is essentially just petty partisan criticism of, "Damn you Obama! You suck!"."Very upset" is probably the wrong way of looking at it.
I think it's an example of a lousy president being a lousy president.
I think it's just more gratuitous nonsense from a man who is all style and very little substance, and certainly very, very little successful substance.
But "very upset"?
Not really.
The man sucks at the job he was elected to do, he'll soon be out of that job, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and though I'm not thrilled about the damage he's done I'm gratified that he will soon be out of the position to do any further damage.
So, yeah, whatevs, he's running around like an asshat for the purpose of photo ops which is trite and self aggrandizing but at least he's not returning billions of dollars to Iran or snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and creating another ISIS.
What "recent activities"? Care to give any substance? His recent activities are shamless, but hardly damaging in the ways that past foreign policy blunders have been damaging.
