Texas has the distinction of having the city with the highest health care costs in the country. Go texas.

LOL, do you live in McAllen? How does McAllen affect the rest of the state? Do you realize that Medicare, a Govt. run program, is part of that cost?
I have been through this over and over on the Healthcare thread, suggest you go there and get the answers to the question.
Keep attacking TX while your state continues to decline.

Why not? Texans keep on attacking the US.
What? TX isn't attacking the U.S. TX should be a model for the rest of the nation instead of people like you attacking it.
I am NOT from TX but moved here 18 years ago. I still travel back to the midwest to visit family. The morale and attitude in the Midwest is one of gloom and doom. You don't find that in TX.
TX isn't utopia but it sure is much, much better than the rest of the nation. Instead of demonizing TX it would be more positive to find out what TX is doing right and duplicate it. That isn't the liberal way, is it?

I bet it has nothing to do with being a border town.
That is not the point, although you only see what you want to see. It's called tunnel vision. Blame the poor for their poverty seems to be your way of looking at things.
OC, stop acting like a child and grow up.
A gap if not closed becomes an official budget deficit which is in violation of the TX Constitution. You haven't a clue what you are talking about but it doesn't stop you from talking. You are indeed a legend in your own mind.
Now I don't have a job and have a poor financial understanding?
Now that is funny but rather than give you my resume, I, like many others here who ignore you, will just continue to laugh at you.
Stop being a liar. I proved you have indeed lied. Thus, I will refer to you as a liar from now on until you disprove me.
Come again? Since when was a deficit not a deficit because it's not official?
Watch:
You haven't a clue what you are talking about but it doesn't stop you from talking. You are indeed a legend in your own mind.
I didn't need to change a single word there to turn that around against you.
Right now Texas has a functional operating deficit. You keep pretending otherwise.
More talk from someone who can't do basic math isn't exactly convincing.
You do. After all, you claimed that prior year taxes unrelated to anything now is current revenue. You keep pretending you never made that argument, but too bad for you editing is not allowed after a short period of time. Anyone can go back and see your lengthy trail of posts of sheer unending fiscal ignorance.
I doubt you are even out of highschool. Certainly never went to college. Your complete lack of understanding of linear regression is a sign of that.
So you are a liar and you ignore reality. Go to the basement for what people actually think. :2wave:
So you think people in Mexico cannot figure out how to scam the system?
It's not the foreign workers who are scamming. It's the workers who are getting screwed and robbed.

Did you even read what you claim is a victory for liberalism? As you stated FOREIGN workers now got a large settlement of 1250/person before legal fees. Symbolism over substance is what you and your cause is all about.
That is a fortune to the poor. My cause is about american justice across these fruited plains.
Your cause is about getting attention and building strawmen that collapse under their own weight. The fact is you don't know how much these poor foreign workers got because there were legal fees involved but that doesn't stop you from touting this as if it were a boost to the poor. After legal fees and taxes even a poor person could buy a Starbuck's!
You know nothing. Nothing.
:moon::fart2Brilliant comment and typical of someone who cannot support their own position.:2wave::2wave:

What are you talking about? We were discussing Mcallen having the highest health care cost.

Here is an interesting map showing the affects of the Obama stimulus plan on the American economy. Maybe these people should lawyer up to get a job.

Speaking of the stimulus plan, i heard some talking heads on CNBC this morning say that they thought that the stimulus had something to do with this jump in the economy.
<U.S. Economy Grew at 5.9% Annual Pace Last Quarter>
<Feb. 26 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. economy expanded at a 5.9 percent annual rate in the fourth quarter, more than the government reported last month, reflecting stronger business investment and a greater contribution from inventories.>
<The rise in gross domestic product, which exceeded the median forecast of economists surveyed by Bloomberg News, marked the best performance in more than six years, the Commerce Department said today in Washington.>
U.S. Economy Grew at 5.9% Annual Pace Last Quarter (Update2) - Bloomberg.com
Isn't that wonderful? Where is that growth? Can you name for me any other time in U.S. history where we had that kind of economic growth and yet NOT one dime of increase in tax revenue to the U.S. Govt?
Think Donc, what did the stock market tell you about that economic growth? What is the unemployment number with that economic growth? What is the deficit with that economic growth? You have to do better than that.
Doesn't seem that you have a clue and simply are looking for a win for "your" President. Sorry, but you don't understand the numbers but buy the rhetoric that this is good. Please learn the components of GDP and then find out where this increase occurred. then you will realize what the market realized, this is smoke and mirrors, unsustainable, and hardly real economic growth.
Wish it weren't so but your empty suit President doesn't have a clue how to manage the U.S. Economy. Reagan knew how to do it, through the private sector, obama is doing it through the public sector. one of these days you will understand the difference.
The only thing i can come up with is that a good part of it is stimulus.Do you think that Cramer got it right for once?
