In 2014 it penetrated computer networks at the White House and the State Department. Neither the White House nor the mainstream media reacted with any great alarm.

Firstly, it was very much pointed out and discussed that the Russians were doing this prior to the election before he was elected. Obama clearly had to make a judgement call. If he pushed to hard it would seem as though he's interfering with an election. He thought at the time that there's very littl chance of Trump winning so he erred on the side of "lets let this be public but not scream it from the roof tops on a daily basis." Again, it was a judgement call that I really don't understand how you have such a hard time understanding.Questions:

I can go on. it was pretty much a non issue, until trump became a threat to hillary.
Obama has literally zero to do with what I said. Russian interference in the election was one of the, if not the biggest topic revolving around this election season.
Even if Obama downplayed it/ignored it, that does not mean it wasn't a huge topic before Trump was elected POTUS.

This is a very interesting answer. so your argument is, that because trump had very little winning, Russian hacking was unimportant. but once he one, it's now a huge matter that we must get to the bottom of?
Yea, that's not what I said. You and I both have no idea what was done behind the scenes. But the more they scream about it in public the more distrust we create in our electoral process. We also didn't know as much then as we do now.
