So while the idea of free two year community college may SOUND good in theory, it's not going to help in the long run.

Initially that's often true but once you get into a career/industry and establish yourself it's much less relevant. Because you really 'learn' most jobs doing them.

If I were 16, I'd like it. But now, it just sounds expensive. I also don't trust another program that's supposed to pay for itself. Fool me once......

Ah, then I like the sound of that.

And if they have the incentive of a couple yrs of community college, then maybe more teens will at least finish HS and work to earn the grades to qualify.

Maybe you didn't notice my item #2...and my opinion that this action is NOT him trying to check off an agenda item, but to save his political ass. After all, that's what he's been doing since the last election.
