He's a lightweight
good academics
good speaker
lucked out to win the senate due to a Democrat judge's nonsense
He might become worthy to vote for
right now he is an empty suit

LOL! The way ya'll talk, ie., bitterly/flippantly, is evidence that there is a whole lot more to Obama than any one of you will admit, or notice.
He has charisma, he talks good, that's all that matters to the left.
He is the lefts new rock star..........
The guy is a lightweight when it comes to experience........

Jealous and partisan opinionated drivel.Yeah....I see what you mean....the last time we selected a President with no foreign policy experience and no national experience....he got us into a pointless war which has lead to the death of thousands of our soldiers....and he has driven our country to the brink of financial and moral bankruptcy.......so maybe experience is something that we should look at if we want our country to regain its stature....but then again.....
Yeah, heaven forbid that Democrats actually respect speaking ability and someone who demonstrates a command of the issues.
It seems Republicans prefer willfully ignorant empty suits who can't even string a sentence together unscripted.
Jealous and partisan opinionated drivel, Part Deux!
We have the majority in both houses of congress, the majority of governorships and statehouses. What is there to be jealous about?
I simply made an acute observation.
Well, not to concede all of your criticisms of President Bush, but yeah, that's exactly right. If Bush was sufficiently experienced we would not have ended up in Iraq, because although the specific consequences were unpredictable, to someone experienced the likelihood of unforseen circumstances and the stakes would've disuaded the plan to attack Iraq when we did.
Experience shows the limits of reason. You try and fail. You see the people you respect try and fail. All and all, it leads to you realizing that failure is always a possibility, and the more you're reliant only upon your own reason the more likely that you will fail.
Barrack Obama absolutely needs experience. I don't think anyone doubts that, barring a **** up on his behalf, he will be president some day, but he's not ready in the least, no where close.
I don't see why more people take the Bush administration as an example of the importance of experience. I mean, by any objective standard he's much more intelligent and thoughtful than his policies reflect, and by and large his administration will be viewed as a failure, as a product of Bush simply not being qualified to be president. Who knows if things would've been different in 10 years or so, but it's painfully clear that he was a guy with the right idea for the most part who just had no ****ing clue what he was doing.
I know a lot of you are anxious to grade the Bush presidency a failure but I think the jury is out and we might not know for several years if its a failure or a success.........I am a little older then you and I can remember when people said the Eisenhower presidency was a failure and we know what happened there.........

Well if Afghanistan and Iraq became democracies and the price of oil dropped to about $30. a barrel people might lkook a little more kindly at the Bush Presidency.........
Sadly thats not going to happen in the real world. Only in the minds of neocons.

Yeesh. I'm generally an optimist but I think believing that both Afghanistan and Iraq will become democracies due to this war is a little too optimistic. This is something that bullets will not solve. If you think there's tension between the Democrats and the Republicans, consider the discrepancies between the Sunnis and the Shi'ites. I know that they are religious not political groups, but their problems are only escalating with this war. The execution of Saddam was poorly done from the perspective of peace there.Well if Afghanistan and Iraq became democracies and the price of oil dropped to about $30. a barrel people might lkook a little more kindly at the Bush Presidency.........
