Washington Times - Obama climate czar has socialist tiesUntil last week, Carol M. Browner, President-elect Barack Obama's pick as global warming czar, was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for "global governance" and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change.
By Thursday, Mrs. Browner's name and biography had been removed from Socialist International's Web page, though a photo of her speaking June 30 to the group's congress in Greece was still available.
Socialist International, an umbrella group for many of the world's social democratic political parties such as Britain's Labor Party, says it supports socialism and is harshly critical of U.S. policies.
The group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, the organization's action arm on climate change, says the developed world must reduce consumption and commit to binding and punitive limits on greenhouse gas emissions.
You mean like the previous Democrat president? So what !
I don't care if he is a communist homosexual, as long as this man does the job and keeps things that matter not covered up..
Climate change is a socialist scheme to insert more and more government into our lives. To control and manipulate behavior.Uhh climate change has what to do with socialism, exactly?
Ugh... you see... the socialist nominated has as her grand vision... the use of "climate change" as an adjunct to "Change" a'la socialismus variety. It reflects on The Obamer and his grand scheme... you see?Uhh climate change has what to do with socialism, exactly?

"I think if we don't overthrow capitalism, we don't have a chance of saving the world ecologically. I think it is possible to have an ecological society under socialism. I don't think it's possible under capitalism."

"A global climate treaty must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the greenhouse effect."

Newsweek, April 28, 1975
There are ominous signs that the Earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production – with serious political implications for just about every nation on Earth. The drop in food output could begin quite soon, perhaps only 10 years from now. The regions destined to feel its impact are the great wheat-producing lands of Canada and the U.S.S.R. in the North, along with a number of marginally self-sufficient tropical areas – parts of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indochina and Indonesia – where the growing season is dependent upon the rains brought by the monsoon.
And also to sap and impurify our precious bodily fluids.

With this as a rebuttal, I see you "get it" too.
That's the "Change" the Obamer didn't let onto except for his associations... "guilt by association" let's say and during unscripted moments as "Joe the Plumber" moment about "spreading the wealth" through tax and redistribute government schemes. Add to this his utterly numb statement about not being able to "keep our houses at 72 degrees regardless of the season, drive SUV's and eat what we want without angering the rest of the world" (that being a very close paraphrase instead of a direct quote.
Conservatives know what the Omaber is.
WE... "connected the dots".

Umm...learn to speak in proper English so that people have some idea wtf you're talking about. Not that I think it would matter, as your posts don't ever seem to have any kind of coherent thought. Joe the Plumber? What in God's name are you babbling about?

Ah yes, the real reason liberals back the AGW Movement.

Are we not to think that when Obama then goes and starts putting Socialists on his cabinet that somehow we're NOT going to see some socialist ideas and laws come out in regards to the environment?
Let me help you.I find the mention of the UK labour party intresting given how it produced the neocons favorite primininster Tony Blair. It hardly radical. Frankly im quite disapointed:mrgreen:
What exactly ARE socialist ideas as they pertain to the environment? Was Teddy Roosevelt a socialist? Richard Nixon? John McCain?
