And if Obama was not fully briefed on what happened within hours that it was known--like within 24 hours when the rest of us knew--he should fire everybody who should have informed him.

It's a fair criticism to ask why additional security was denied. And it hurts Obama politically when people find out that they were asking for more security, but none was granted.

There's your motivation for cover up pal. A pretty simple explanation, and one a 9 year old could deduce.

There are any number of reasons why any of those things could be the case.

But you need a report to cross check them.

You fool....his administration lied for 13 consecutive days about what caused this attack. THAT'S A COVER UP. They didn't tell us about the emails. They didn't tell us about the live drone feed. They didn't tell us about Ansar al Sharia claiming responsibility just 2 hours into the attack. We've learned everything we've learned through other media sources, not the White House.

These guys spent 2 weeks telling the world that the attacks were the result of a protest gone wild over a muhammed video. THAT'S A LIE. We know it, and now everyone else knows it too.

He's attempting to cover up the fact that for months leading up to the attack, numerous requests were made to increase security in Benghazi, but they were all denied. That resulted in the deadly attacks on a full fledged US Ambassador.

Adam, doesn't look good when an Ambassador asks for more security in a hostile country, doesn't get it, and a few months later is dead! Obama is covering it up so he doesn't lose an election! This is elementary stuff here, and you half-witted liberals cant seem to figure it out!

It has been acknowledged and verified that Obama himself was informed that was indeed the case by the officials and agencies beneath him. If someone made a mistake, it can be immediately accredited to the President.

I'm not sure why there has to be a mistake though. Widespread protests that seemed to exist seemed to be spurred by the YouTube video (or by protests in Cairo about the YouTube video). Such protests would be a great opportunity for a terrorist attack.

It's pretty clear that no one knew exactly what was happening in first few days. We still don't know exactly what happened. But obviously the president had to make a statement and I don't think it was unreasonable to relate what the initial theory was. Obviously in retrospect it would have been better to say nothing at all about it, but you never know what crazy **** the wingnuts are going to zero in on. If it's not this it's his wife clapping her hands. Or him saying the word "optimal". There are obviously those for whom anything the president does is the work of the devil.

They promoted the muhammed video story in an effort to blame it on that, and not terrorism, because for months the Pres. has been talking about what a great record he has on fighting and preventing terrorism.

You ironically forget that they repeated the "video" story for 13 consecutive days, not just a couple. 14 days after the attack, Obama addressed the UN, and delivered a speech in which he blamed the attacks on the video 6 different times. That was 14 days later Adam......

Keep digging.....he's done I tell you. Done.

Emails were sent from on site personell. Flash Cables were also sent. Flash Cables aren't emails, they're more like IM's that go directly to the regional military control centers, and teh situation room at the White House.

Nothing will convince you. You think it was an innocent mishandling. Fine for you to believe that. But either your way whacked out partisan, or you're simply ignorant to the information that has been released. Because it PROVES that they lied numerous times in the weeks after the attacks. THAT by definition, is a cover up.

You could at least pretend not to be interested in the election, to at least appear to be credible and interested in impartial justice.

The non-partisan story is that Obama was informed at a meeting about what happened and his Administration reported that. Later on, different agencies (who are infighting) made amendments to that story.

Eventually, every report and how everyone in and out of the Administration responded to it will be in a final report that will be evaluated by third parties.

Any notion that you can't cover up an ongoing investigation has long ago been disproved by this administration. Out of the box the investigation into the voter intimidation case with ACORN at the polling place went away. We are still waiting for thousands of pages of documents relating to F & F. Now the embassy problem.
