Oh, I hate to tell you this, but you've accidentally posted on a forum called "Debate Politics." I believe you're looking for the "Ignore Proof" forum.
Still diverting, I see.

Start a thread for why you think President Bush lied. I am sure all of your fellow travelers will be right there supporting you.

One out of three aint bad.
It is looking like Fox News to me. But that is what happens when one combines on the ground reporting, fact-based reporting, and smart, beautiful women.

What President Obama really said in that '60 Minutes' interview about Benghazi - Fox News

He said it was too early to make that call in an interview after the Rose Garden speech. During the debate he stated he as a minimum implied it was terrorism. The phrase "act of terror" came a while after he made comments about religion.

Apparently related communications coming out of Benghazi would have gone to the key personnel that advise the President.

Anyone can be an Internet hero, all it takes is a keyboard and a vivid imagination.

Now, even if this bravado is all correct, it doesn't mean you have a clue about all the events in this situation.
Its true. Clearly you haven't credentials in such. Further, I do not need to know "all the events". One never "knows all the events" when it is time to make the decisions.

Obama is a ditherer. A spineless jackass. Who I am, or what I know, does not change that.

Earlier Eighty Duece wrote, "I get my opinion from common sense, 7 years in Special Ops, having had a top-secret clearance, knowing how these exact things go down, and knowing a hell of a lot more about how things work than you ever will."

To which, for reasons know only to you, you replied,
Anyone can be an Internet hero, all it takes is a keyboard and a vivid imagination.

The fun part is that those of us who do have time directly participating in, or supporting such activities, recognize one another. I was responsible, as an additional duty, for making recommendations, as an expert in military intelligence, on declassifying operational documents approaching their 30 year review.

Much of those documents had to remain classified because the methods, timelines, coordination requirements, support environments remained valid and still required protection from unauthorized disclosure.

One operation is not all that different from any other.

if this is true (doubtful), its frightening how incompetence gets a seat at the security table. Not as bad as top security officials getting programs to train soldiers to stop goats' hearts by staring, though. You'll find complete nutters in all these walks of life.
It is quite true. What is also true is that you apparently did not serve, or if so, had to be with the most gutter of units.

You're opinion and experience do a good job of having a blatant disregard for the facts. I can respect your experience in the field, but that doesn't account for:

1. The fact that there have been several foreign policy failures just as bad as this one.
2. Obama did not lie. He was not on the same page as the rest of the administration who took two weeks to admit it was a terrorist attack.
3. Every President has been responsible for American lives and has lost some on his watch. Just because every death isn't as well documented as this one, it doesn't mean that they don't happen.

Listen, every President tries as hard as they can to ensure the safety of their citizens and preserve the effectiveness of their operations. Do you think any sane man wants to live knowing that they've been responsible for the death of somebody who followed them? Do you think any leader wants to know that one slip up, one tiny movement in the wrong direction cost a life? As far as your experience has got you, you'll never have the opportunity to say that you've EVER experienced the stress and agony that this man has. I don't care if you think Obama is the worst President in United States history, he is still one of the most brave, respectful, and caring individuals in the nation and wouldn't for a second consider letting himself give this job less than 100% of all he's got. So for you to say "A pox on Obama. To support him further at this point is to be a wretched American. No doubt we got 'em, but it still sucks to be one.", well you might as well be 10x as disrespectful and unknowledgable as I am. Comments like mine may shows gaps in knowledge, but comments like yours are the epitome ignorance.
You miss the point. It is not that Obama, or his underlings, made decisions that may have ended up costing some Americans their lives, where in hindsight, had they made a different choice, perhaps less Americans would have died. On that point, you and I agree that many in position of authority, past and present, to include Presidents, have such bloodshed on their hands. And whre I would not fault the choices made at the time.

The point is that Obama tried to then cover up what happened. For you to claim that Obama was on a different page than his underlings is complete folly. Stupid X2.

The then tell me, or anyone, that Obama is ".... still one of the most brave, respectful, and caring individuals in the nation and wouldn't for a second consider letting himself give this job less than 100% of all he's got" is one monumental pile of Kool-Ade flavored excrement.

Except that Democrats don't like news that is fair and balanced.
Fox News is unfair and unbalanced. There is nothing further to the right of Fox except maybe Stormfront.

Bull****. Let's have the specifics. Did president Dad order you to stand down from playing Worlds of Warcraft for 30 consecutive hours?
I used to play WoW. I still have my account. I have played less that 30 minutes in the last month or so. I would cancel my subscription but know in a few months I am going to want to play once again.

The private citizen was a convicted felon who broke parole.. and tried to get away with claiming the Israelis produced the video.

Why would you have sympathy for him?
What did he do? Did he allow someone to be killed while he prepared for a fundraiser? Did he allow more than one person to be murdered while he dithered?

Or was he just inconvenient for the One?

Why would you have sympathy for Him? The Messiah? The Chosen One? All praise Obama.

Regardless of whether Obama had political motivations, have we determined whether he had sufficient resources to respond to the threat? For example, sending an F-16 to strafe the area sounds good in theory, but to do so Obama would have had to reduce his fighting effectiveness elsewhere; undoubtedly, doing so could have led to even more deaths.

So before we get into strategy and politics, let's focus on logistics: did Obama have any reasonable way to respond to the threat? Considering that it was in his self interest to keep the SEALs alive, it is unlikely that anything but a logistical failure caused additional units to be unavailable.

Whether the logistical failure was foreseeable, however, I don't know. However, it is extremely unlikely that Obama deliberately chose to allow a scandal of this magnitude to occur solely for his own sadistic pleasure.
If it wasn't possible to render aid in seven hours we would know every detail. How many months of investigation will be required before Obama can find out what he did or did not do?

Like the USS Cole, the Marine Barracks bombing, the attack on the USS Liberty, the Lavon Affair???
In how many of those terrorists attacks was aid requested? In how many of those attacks did the murders take place over a seven hour period?
