So, they're forced to do their job if they don't like what the president is doing? The humanity. Maybe that was Obama's goal all along. If I was him, the second step would be to get to write a bill - veto it if it doesn't include any Democrat demands and when it comes back as a bipartisan bill, sign it into law.

So basically a president could sign an executive order that says no Americans have to pay taxes, or that heroin is legal for 5-year-olds, or that the legal voting age is 12.
Why bother having a Congress? All we need is our king.

Who cares? No one is defending those actions and l imagine most of us weren't born or very young when a lot of those went down. For example, six of those were before my time, and all but four of those that are left happened when I was still a minor. I guess what I'm saying is, I don't give a ****.

And yet... that's pretty much what will end up happening. Republicans don't have the supermajority required to get one of their bills to the president without him threatening to veto. So, if Democrats play their cards right, they can get Republicans to play nice like they were before the election and live up to their ideas of giving illegal immigrants a way to get right with the law.
No, but it doesn't make those EO's matter to anything either. Who ever told you that anyone thought this crap was legal no matter which president did it?
You might also want to realize that what people thought about Amnesty in 1986 has absolutely nothing to do with what people think of it today. People get older, they have children, those children become voters with different views. You know, time moves forward. It's not 1950 anymore.

The point wasn't whether it was legal or illegal. The point was Congress will have a hard time proving what has been done for 50+ years is illegal.
Just that if Sharpton was saying that ****, he's be listened too. Because last night Obama took for granted the black vote. How many blacks are going to get legal status from his EO? Zero, but he already has them in his pocket doesn't he, whether he ****s them out future jobs or not.
