What other modern president has done this? This attitude of "I won't be at the White House on the weekends; I'll be at Trump Tower."

Really, Mr. Trump? Are you going to pick up the tab for security instead of the people in New York? :roll:
 
So when is New York City going to obey immigration law? When they stop protecting illegals then maybe I will care about their problems. Breaking the law and then demanding something though is a bit of an empty headed proposition.
 
The NYPD is one of the most corrupt organizations in the world.

New York City has been breaking immigration law since I believe 1979, which as it turns out is as long as my older sister has been alive. Long term law breakers aren't on my list of priorities to give a **** about.

So how does this solve New York's problem on the cost of security for Trump because he refuses to mostly reside at the White House?

So what? Is there a law against the president going home? Did Obama reimburse the CPD for guarding his Chicago home? For extra security when he visited?

No Maggie because he didn't go stay there numerous times (weekends and whenever he felt like it) like Trump wants to do. They are actually prepping for this.

that could be seen as treason.

one thing I probably due know is that the SS is glad Clinton didn't win. from all reports she was a monster the last time she was there.

if he does do this which I don't think he will be able to. there will be too much for him to deal with, but trump is trump and use to dealing with such things.

No. You don't get it. His wife and youngest son is staying at Trump Tower and the Donald is going to that place on weekends.
 

I would expect they will work something out.

As was stated in the article, the costs aren't really known yet.

I'm sure rational minds realize the President Elect should not be required to move someplace else before they take office.

Certainly a "cost test" for who get's elected shouldn't be considered, but I recognize the losers are looking for anything to complain about.

Did obama go to his home every weekend like Trump says he plans too? You guys would flip your panties if obama did that. Not only that The businesses in that area are affected each time he visited. You condone that each weekend? Guess trump is showing how much he pisses on small business owners.

Nope. Nor should Trump. He didn't run for a part time gig - being POTUS is 24/7, and part of the job is your undivided attention.
