New York Governor Kathy Hochul chimed in on the issue. “Attorney Paxton should focus more on his own private life instead of dictating the personal decisions of women across America,” she said.

Love it!

There's something in the water in the Deep South that's difficult to pin down. It turns people into either morons...

Or assholes...

They already issued a summary judgement against her from a civil standpoint. But NY is blocking it. There’s nothing they can do about that 🤷‍♀️
Incorrect. Texas was seeking a summary judgement in NY but the county clerk in NY refuses to even file the case. So Texas has a number of options here.

No, they issued a default judgement of $100K in TX. There’s nothing else they can do. NY told them to pound sand.

The default judgement in Texas would ordinarily be filed in NY (as the State of residence for the defendant) for enforcement but the county clerk won’t file it. Texas can enforce it by other means.

They don’t have any other means.

No liens, no bank account garnishment, no license suspension, no real estate liens…nothing.

They can sit and wait. 😂

Incorrect. Texas can use the Treasury Offset Program to garnish her Federal tax returns until the debt is paid.

Nothing is going to happen to her. End of story.

Texas can’t use a civil judgement from TX to garnish her federal tax returns.

Civil judgements don’t meet the criteria for federal offset program.

They could try, I’m sure…but they haven’t because they know it wouldn’t work.

And I’m laughing at you thinking she’s getting tax returns. 😂😂😂

She owns her own practice. She sends Uncle Sam money, not the other way around.

The State government is the creditor so they can.
