Nudity and Americans

When is nudity or partial nudity ok in your humble opinion?

  • 1. Never anywhere in public or where you can be seen.

Just make sure the hildabeast is never seen in public naked. Everyone who sees her will turn to stone.
 

Why would Christians be trying to instill a Christian theocracy? That denies God's Will. God gave us all free will to follow Him or not. Who is 'man' to usurp His Authority and demand that non-believers follow God's Law? God gave us a choice...who are "the people" to force us using "man's law?" If so-called "Christians" are trying to do that, it's a grave sin against God.

Right? How is it not?

i basically tell people what i see as The Truth coming, you wanna know about nudity, so i give you the facts on how this aint gonna work.

it won't work, not now and not ever.

When it comes to nudity I think I am fairly easy. But there is no need for nudity in public. There is no reason to deliberately provoke or be confrontational. But to forbid a pride parade because it is public ? Of course not. Those days are for people to express themselves.

I see people mention sexuality. Now there is of course an undeniable link between nudity and sexuality. However, that does not mean that nudity always is sexual. In addition, different people may experience that differently. And I think it is exactly this why we should be cautious with nudity. While at the same time there is no need to be backward about it.

My experience in the US:

March 1989, Kettering, Dayton Ohio. I went to visit my girlfriend for some time. She was Danish and went there as an Au-Pair. It was a small, safe community with a neighbourhood watch program of some kind. I was 19 at the time. I was called to the police station about 200m from the house. Small station that probably held only 1 or 2 officers is my guess. He explained that I had been reported because i had been sun bathing naked in the garden. Now I knew that was rather odd. Since it was still quite cold, the only place where it was warn enough was against the house. And since it was all fenced off, the only place from where you could possibly have seen me was from the neighbours bedroom window if you really put your face against the glass. I know, I tried it after that to make sure it was possible... Anyways, I explained the officer. He started to laugh and apologised. He also said that if I did it again he would have to do something about it though. I was flabbergasted. I also clearly remember that he people I told to what had happened were not judgemental towards me but all understood that this had happened and why this had happened. I think you will struggle to find people reporting this, in the same context, to the police in many European countries.

I thought the anecdote fitted the post.

Doesnt change God's Will, does it? You're just making excuses and slinging unchristian dogma. It would still deny His Will and usurp His Authority. You were 100% unable to even address that fact.
 
I've just got back from Germany. While I was there I went to a sauna. The saunas in Germany are nude and co-ed.

It is not an issue at all.

How? Them being naked wouldn't change anything tangible or in any significant way in connection to those actions you mentioned.

This is why I chose the 3 choices I did. In general, nudity is fine. However there are certain places that it's important to have clothing on, at least to cover those holey parts for hygiene reasons, such as anywhere a person would sit that isn't the ground itself. People having to clean up after your bodily fluids or waste is an issue. Not everyone wipes well, maintains proper personal health and that could cause sanitation issues.
 
At my local high school dress codes were removed bowing down to DEI. As the end of the school year and warmer weather comes "no" the limits will be pushed. A G string and pasties.....
 
What these polls and conversations generally reveal is America has a long history of creating social conservative based stigmas on nudity and sexuality.

For the most part the arts, in the general sense of the word, and expression are the only combatants to America's religious views in this nation that have alignment to the more social conservative from various ideological views across the Middle East. Modesty, place men to women, social order, that sort of thing.

Whatever can squash expression becomes a political goal, but more so tends to create social barriers we still see today. A woman breast feeding becomes controversial, a certain statue or piece of art becomes something to make a fuss over, those claiming going here or there and seeing more nudity without issue but then returning home to 'the norm' where that is not seen ends up more aligned to hypocrisy. It is okay over there, not here.

Turns out the more to the right you go the more you see it is a flip side of the same "safe space" coin the far left has. Cannot be offended, cannot be uncomfortable, cannot be triggered, put up the walls and barriers using some sort of control over accepted norms. Nudity and American attitudes confirms that notion.

I doubt this changes anytime soon as Americanized social conservatism now embraces authoritarianism and fascism to influence, if not control, social standards. Just about every polling option should not be an issue, a few excluded, but the will continue to be so long as generally speaking older social conservative males continue to try to make the rules.
 
its good to create areas people can explore themselves but just be reasonable about other people’s boundaries. Boundaries are important even in healthy sexuality.

Yeah, but not necessarily mixed sex nudity. Public saunas in Finland are nude but usually single sex.
 
I just love the contrast between America being puritanical and prudish but at the same time is home to the biggest porn industry in the world.
