But it's even more obvious that Trump truly just wants a national sales tax via tariffs to help pay for his tax cuts for the wealthy.

Yes he said the deal was the number in the letter.....sorry that's not a deal , that's extortion. I think he started out thinking he could make all these amazing deals but then reality set in. In return for a few small concessions Americans are going to be enjoying a new national sales tax in the neighbourhood of 15-20 % overall.

He is a clown, and it's good this was caught on camera. The stock market's caught on to his idiocy it seems, since they're not responding to the announcement of tariffs either.

Well, until the bond market inverts again and someone manages to convince TACO that he'll look bad in the resulting recession/depression, then it'll be back to deals in 90 days or else. He hasn't got a ****ing clue.

If you really want to see the US economy in tatters, and almost irredeemable, give Trump control of the Fed. Especially now where he could easily trip the country into the sort of stagflation that Japan has been unable to properly escape from for decades.

He was all over the place as usual, that was really all he said about "trade deals". He also talked about women leaving ugly men and calling Democrats evil (to faith leaders).

The papers are the letters they sent out I imagine. He has been calling them the "deals".
