Now that President Trump has laid an offer on the table, what are the democrats going to offer? It cant be a one way street. Democrats need to offer the money for the wall.

They did, right before the shutdown started. Trump turned it down.

Won't happen. Democrats hate Trump and the ONLY thing they care about is sticking it to him. They're holding out for an impeachment and figure that once some kind of catastrophe hits due to the federal shutdown they'll use that as the basis for impeachment.

Democrats will not negotiate while the government is shutdown. You don't negotiate with hostage takers.

Yep. Depending on the source it was between $20-25B. Full DACA with a pathway for citizenship.

Trump's offer included $800M for port of entry infrastructure, $800M for for tech along the border, 2750 new hires for border patrol and 75 more immigration judges.....and a wall.

Trump offered EVERYTHING she asked for on that list as well as temporary (not permanent) DACA and TPS resolutions which could be worked out in the subsequent three years. That, however, wasn't good enough for her.

And you have the balls to call Trump a "hostage taker".
 
Trump offered what he took away. Until there is a real offer on the table....NO

No matter what Trump offers, the shutdown is his to have and hold 'til it ends. Trump said he'd "proudly" shutdown the government on account of the wall and "own" doing so. He's getting his way in that regard.

He only asked for $5 bil. I think you're getting confused. Seems like Trump offered DACA to over a million a while back during another negotiation.

Of course. Most Americans are against Trump. How can you expect the House of Representatives to kowtow to a President who has minimal support from the people who elected them?
Face it- this President was elected by fewer votes than his opponent got and he lost his majority in the House. In other words he squandered his chance and now he wants the Democrats to do his heavy lifting for him. And all the Trumpanzees think the Democrats should fall in line.

What do you think $5B will accomplish in terms of a border wall? Do you think that will gt it done?
 

Okay I'll go with your premise.
He offered to spend 800 mil out of the 1.5 he already got for border infrastructure, another 800mil for tech. Sounds like the 1.5 he was getting in the CR back in December was a good deal for only 65 days of funding.
Why didn't he take it?
Trump is the hostage taker he shut the government down even though he was getting much of what he is asking for now.
 

None of those things were ever in dispute. All offers from both sides had all that in one form or another. This all comes down to the wall for permanent DACA. Heck, both of us know that deep down the dems aren't really against a barrier in some form, they've voted for it in the past.
