"Like the manosphere influencers, these outlets are animated by a grievance against “wokeness” and the belief that conservatives are the real oppressed minority. They claim that the liberal media and Hollywood are promoting feminist propaganda, and so they must fight back.

Though they present themselves as independent thinkers, their ideology lines up neatly with the Trump administration’s quest to dismantle reproductive rights, roll back protections for LGBTQ+ people, and advance an anti-science agenda that puts the health of millions of Americans at risk. ...Yet for this new womanosphere, the response is not advancing policies like paid family leave or affordable childcare, but to return to an idealized, illusory past where being a wife and mother was viewed as a woman’s sole purpose.

The type of woman these commentators valorize is thin, straight, fertile, traditionally feminine, conventionally attractive to men and white – though they try to avoid overt racism, instead opting for sentiments like, “as a minority woman, I’m here to say that you’ll be happier and more fulfilled if you aren’t consumed by thinking about your race.” Anyone who falls outside of this narrow mold is subject to relentless mocking and disparagement. Though they have different tactics and tones, like their cohorts in the manosphere, they play with the idea that calling women fat or ugly is fun and transgressive – framing it as part of a virtuous quest to rid society of woke, feminist ideals."

This doesn't seem like a winning message to me.

MAGA women are fat as cows and are uneducated. Hairy, smelly with many cats.

Facts are facts.

Scrolling the link, I immediately want to have a headache.

Just the image of the magazine brings to mind the era gone by in my life, where you'd open a Teen magazine that was targeted at young women and be assaulted with the smell of perfume samples crammed between the pages.

I've never understood how anyone was able to read them and tolerate that assault on your olfactory senses.

This may be "online" but it produces the same gut response. Eew.

And now look at Teen Vogue with its quality reporting.

I got to hand it to Trump. The women on his cabinet sets the high standards for 'beauty and brains'. And when we talk about brains, they don't just say they're smart rather they show you and present themselves as smart, dedicated and focused. The nation is watching. Standards are being reset. People are starting to care about how they look and present themselves. It's not a bad thing.

The GOP also prefers servile white women. Do as you are told and don't make any waves about abortion, contraception, etc.

And have more babies! The US needs more babies! Sayeth the GOP as they take food out of the mouths of needy children via deep cuts to federal programs.

Lol. The bottle-blond Pam Bondi is no beauty queen. She applies her facial foundation with a putty-knife.

Actually, Karoline Leavitt seems stupid to me. Or perhaps it's my knee-jerk reaction to repeating Trump's lies as if they were truths.

I guess this doesn't apply to the president's puppet master, Elon Musk.

Are you knocking Elon's accomplishment or looks?

I don't see this at all.

I see women who all look... Fake.

Heavy (outdated?) makeup. Dyed hair. Some have had obvious plastic surgery/botox, etc. I'd bet there are quite a few capped teeth and crowns. Perhaps even dental implants. Their clothing choices seem rigid and/or staged.

It just is very....fake.

Not a single woman in the Trump circle strikes me as "authentic" or, frankly, even comfortable in their own skin.

And, I don't get "smart" from any of them. I get rehearsed. I get fake. I get playing a role, acting a part...again, not authentic at all.

To each their own.

Many women who fall for it will learn the harsh reality that a highly edited videos made to engage them is not the reality of what that life is really like. They might think cosplaying as Suzie Housemaker is all fun and games but hopefully it doesn't take 30 years to realize serving a manchild you are financially dependent on ain't all it's cracked up to be.

They are there to be seen - if they are heard, its Trump's words.

?? What line did you think my response applied to?
Hint: I went through the trouble of actually highlighting it for you.
As for his "accomplishments", which ones were you referring to?

There's nothing wrong with increasing the birthrate, but Republicans don't understand an important connection -

Children cost money, and the less you have, and/or the more expensive things become relative to income, the less people are able to afford children.

And of course gutting government agencies, and support systems only causes the problem to get worse, further de-motivating people from starting/growing a family.

This should be obvious, but...

The GOP also prefers servile white women. Do as you are told and don't make any waves about abortion, contraception, etc.

And have more white, Heterosexual, Christian babies, if you are married! The US needs more babies! Sayeth the GOP as they take food out of the mouths of needy children via deep cuts to federal programs.

Fixed that for you. ;)

Rightwing thinking illustrated in the following article:

Daily Wire host Andrew Klavan urged his male viewers to “find a woman who doesn't need to be smacked around in order to behave in a civilized way,” asserting that many women who “wind up in the hospital” because of domestic violence are there because they “threw the first punch.”

They have to be young, too. Dumpy, puffy middle aged Republican males certainly aren't going to pick up old women to ride in their f150s that smell like farts and doritos. Come on, women. You need to stay young and hot for your Republican man.

Me, though, imma teach my daughter self defense. If she brings home a Republican cheuvanistic dumbass, I'm your Huckleberry. That's just my game.

These knuckledraggers want women stuck in the kitchen which is why they frame this in this way. They know they cant blame the jews or they would get in trouble so they say leftists are lying. Its all designed to make women give up their autonomy.

Never heard the term before... womansphere?

It sounds like they are trying to form a League of American Girls.

The magazine just looks like tradwife propaganda repackaged in a Vogue-esque slick cover.

"How I Found Personal Fulfillment Through Multiple Pregnancies"
"How to Give Your HUSBAND a Blowjob He'll Never Forget, IN THE CONTEXT OF CHASTE CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE"
"Stress at Home? Try Cooking and Cleaning More"
"How Handing your Man a Beer Before He Asks for it Can Save Your Marriage"
"Mike Johnson's Tips for Being Such a Hotwife Your Husband Will Never Need to Look at Porn Again"
