Lol. So Apple, in an attempt to decouple from China, and avoid some tariff pain, moved much of their production to India.

Now that's ****ed as well.

Lol, sorry Tim Apple and iPhone customers!

Apple should ship the mostly assembled iPhone to Canada. We'll put the back cover on and send it to the US tariff free.

Oh wait...

I'm guessing iPhones aren't USMCA compliant?

Lol maga. Making everything cost more

Eh, Donald will Taco within a day or two, and it's not just iPhones dealing with tariffs. Virtually all phones sold in the United States are made abroad.

But hey, Apple just recently announced they were upping their potential investment in America to $600B vs $500B they had proposed.

To date, the actual investment?

$0B.

Another caveat: Apple (and other electronics producers) is currently exempt from the tariffs on products produced in India, but that will be up for review this month (8/14).

We'll see what happens next.

The strategy of both countries and corporations: bullshit until the stroke or term end, whichever comes first.

Apple is up over 5% today. They'll be fine.
