In my opinion, 3rd degree murder is not enough. Unfortunately, he’ll probably accept a plea bargain, charges dropped down to manslaughter, serve about 5 years at 85% in protective custody, and get released early on good behavior.

This is where part of the problem lies.

Regardless of the “language of the law,” any regular Joe would for sure have gotten a solid 2nd degree murder charge. Hell, I’ve seen people get sentenced to death for less.

That's really what ignited these protests. If he was charged with first degree, and the other three were also booked on aiding and abetting, there wouldn't have been protests the size and scale of what we're seeing now.

Isn't this the time that a real president that's a real leader steps to the microphone to address the nation and tamps down the rhetoric and says comforting and reassuring things? Oh that's right, we don't have one of those.

If it turns out he had a personal thing against Floyd, it's easily murder one. We'll see.

I was surprised they even tried for a murder count. I was expecting voluntary manslaughter. They may have bitten off too much for the facts to support. We'll see.
