NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record[W:199]

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

Mother nature.

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

THE NOAA MADE REVISIONS. WHY ?

BECAUSE the NOAA was caught manipulating data so they could arrive at a predetermined conclusion.

That's not Science. Thats fraud and your'e naive enough to buy into it.

Goddard is a ACTUAL SCIENTIST who understands that Science has nothing to do with a Consensus

So as you hypocritically lecture me about " dogma " and attempt to arbitrarily redefine the Scientific process please understand that REAL Science is based on empirical evidence and data not adjusted to fit ones narrative.

Temperatures have changed little in the past 15+ years.

Much ado over nothing.

Much ado over nothing.

If you'll look at your graph, you'll see that temperatures certainly HAVE changed in 15 years. An increase around 0.2 degrees at least.

That's pretty substantial, and given you are using two measures (satellite temps measuring the troposphere, not the surface) that are not considered to be as accurate or reflective of actual warming, it's even more concerning.

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

No, the temperature has remained steady for 15 years. Reading the year scale along the bottom might clear up your misunderstanding.

Ever heard of a trend line ??

Lol !!

Yes, " accurate " is the NOAA manipulating temperature data to arrive ar a predetermined conclusion.

Why yes, I use them daily in my work.

And no trend line is shown.

But just eyeballing it you can see there is an increase.

I think you're making a novice denier mistake... what they do dishonestly is to take the peak year of 1998 and count forward, pretending that cherry picking shows no increase. But you cant say 15+ years, silly! You have to use a specific number, currently 17. Because if you use a year before or after, its not correct.

So you honestly screwed up a dishonest myth, and for that we thank you.

Then obviously your "eyeballing" is not very good.

You do realize that satellite temperature measurement is done by microwave sensors on multiple NOAA satellites don't you???

If you can't discern where the trendline would be on this flat graph of temperature readings since 1998, then you don't have much understanding of graphs.

Note those graphs were not NOAA.

Oh, wait. I forgot. You dont know what you're talking about if it wasnt delivered on a plate from Newsmax. Nevermind.

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

As I thought. You want to cherry pick, but you're too lazy to find the graph that starts at 1998. So you post the whole thing and pretend the obviously rising temperaures are stable.

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

Ok, there has been no increase for 17 years.

Happy now ??

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

Congratulations. You now are a fully educated denier who knows how to cherry pick data! Glad I can help.

I've been destroying climatistas on this board for over nine years now.

Your snarky comments aren't convincing.

Destroying?

Jesus. I had to explain your OWN ARGUMENT to you!

Now tell us how picking a single outlier year from datasets that dont correspond to actual surface temperature readings makes any sense at all.

You are argung with one of the few remaining pause deniers in the warmist camp.even the hard core warmists like Trenberth and Schmidy have have given up on that one. LOL

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

Since we don't understand the science yet, the responsible thing to do is to attempt to spread fear.

Son, you didn't explain anything to me.

A single outlier year ??? What the hell are you talking about ??

I'm providing proof that there has been no upward trend in global temps for the past 15 plus years ??

I don't think you understand what you are talking about and are a bit over your head here.

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

Oh, I thought you meant NCAA as in football. Never mind, nothing to see here

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

Maybe you should get a trend line and get back to us. Or better yet, a moving average- 5 year maybe?

Unless you don't know what a trend line is, since you apparently were confused on the last graph where you thought a trend line was graphed.

My mistake. I thought you might be knowledgeable enough to see where a trend line would be on the graph.

Guess you don't know enough about graphing to know that without it being actually drawn for you. My bad.

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

It is interesting that, while 97% of the scientific community (AAAS,UCSUSA, etc) believes that climate change
(or global warming, take your pick) is the result of fossil fuels and human activity, people still cling to
the 3% as "proof" that it is not real.
This reminds me of Jor-El trying to warn about Krypton and everyone following the one scientist who insisted, "Krypton is just adjusting it's orbit." We all know how that turned out!

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

Question. How does a single year prove a trend one way or the other? What is the trend over the past 20 years?

Re: NOAA: 2014 is shaping up as hottest year on record

Sorry, but the claim that 97% of the scientific community believes in man-made global warming has been thoroughly debunked.

Try again.

What We Know | What We Know
1. Climate scientists agree: climate change is happening here and now. Based on well-established evidence, about 97% of climate scientists have concluded that human-caused climate change is happening ...
Here's my link.
Where is yours?

Sorry to disappoint you, but your claim has been proven false:
