Teenage girls, women and even older men are writing to the Parkland school shooter and sending photographs — some suggestive — tucked inside cute greeting cards and attached to notebook paper with offers of friendship and encouragement. Groupies also are joining Facebook communities to talk about how to help the killer.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel obtained copies of some of the letters showing that Cruz, who had few friends in the outside world, is now being showered with attention.

All I can say about this is that the media needs to stop covering these killers. Clearly, these girls are misguided and confused. People like that should lose the privilege of receiving fan mail and love letters.

I see this as more positive proof as to how crazy and goofy a certain segment of our society has always been.
I think there have always been those who write "love letters" to deranged killers that get publicity.

You just described 90% of the women i dated when I was single.
Women with Daddy issues come with all kinds of problems and i ran the whole range.
BDSM, confusion about whether they were gay or straight, very submissive, very dominant, man hating, man loving, hundreds of dogs, hundreds of cats, drug / alcohol issues, you name it, they have it.
I always tried to be a stabilizing factor they knew they could count on.
I remember more than a few times a knock on the door late some nights with them crying after I had not seen them in a while and just wanting a place to crash and know they would be safe.
They got the bed and I got the couch or the other bed.
breakfast will be served at 7 darlin'.

They would wake up, make a few phone calls on their cell, have something to eat I cooked for them, hop in the shower, make a few more calls after the shower and then vanish again after a " You're so sweet ".

Sometimes that is the best thing a man can do for a woman.

I've never understood the attraction to criminals, but it happens. Some deluded women have even become regular visitors and then married these creeps while they were still in prison.
