Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said Tuesday that U.S. spy agencies were “right” that Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
“It was the Russians,” Nielsen said at the Department of Homeland Security National Cybersecurity Summit in New York. “Any attempt to interfere in our elections is a direct attack against our democracy. American will not tolerate this meddling.”
…
“We still have trouble connecting the dots” between the government and the private sector. While there is enough data to block cyber attacks, “we aren’t sharing fast enough or deeply enough.”

Hilarious. I remember arguing with countless right wing trump-lovers that the russians had nothing to do with any kind of hacking or interference in the election. Seems they were all wrong...
A year late but it is nice to see some sanity return to Penn Ave.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Sure thing chief. This isn't something that can be known. All it would have taken is for about a half of a 1 percent of voters in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania to change their votes in order to swing the election.but no votes were ever changed
but was there any collusion, there is no evidence of that yet and its been 1 1/2 years

the federal government has already concluded that no votes were changed, only that data was breached
Yeah, there is. We already know that Trump Jr meet with Russians at Trump Tower. The only question is how much Trump Sr knew. Common sense tells us he knew everything.
we already know this!------>Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.... they hacked servers got into emails, but no votes were ever changed
but was there any collusion, there is no evidence of that yet and its been 1 1/2 years
Oh there will be. And it won't be called 'collusion' because we all know that's not a crime. It'll be called 'conspiracy'.
"Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, when asked if he shared the U.S intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help Trump win: “I haven't seen anything that would dissuade me from believing that's right.” (May 23, 2018)"
"Dan Coats, Trump’s director of national intelligence: “There should be no doubt that Russia perceives its past efforts as successful and views the 2018 U.S. midterm elections as a potential target for Russian influence operations.” (Feb. 13, 2018)"
But Putin denies it and that's good enough Don Trump. A reckoning is coming, of that I have no doubt. The big question is will any of it stick to the Teflon Don?
ok bring it on!....its been 1 1/2 years, why is it taking so long if the evidence is so clear
The evidence is just lately coming clear. What's the rush? It all needs to be done right.
Are you saying the investigation should be abandoned? Just drop it now? Seems to me that every American would want to know exactly what happened, however long it takes to find out.
you are going to have to have more than that opinion, we are still waiting!
It's not an opinion. It's a fact. I'm not saying that they hacked voting machines and changed votes. I'm saying that the illegally obtained information changed minds. You can't know how many minds were changed, but it is more than reasonable to believe it was enough.
Your boi denied Russian meddling as little as two weeks ago. :dohwe already know this!------>Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.... they hacked servers got into emails, but no votes were ever changed

clear?
there is none presented yet!
you are going to have to have something and currently you dont in 1 1/2 yrs
sure people can change there minds because of what they heard, happens all the time, nothing illegal about that.
It's illegal to receive stolen goods and also illegal to discuss obtaining them.
Whoops
Your boi denied Russian meddling as little as two weeks ago. :doh
we already KNOW there was meddling!.......that is a fact!......but what we dont have is any collusion which has been the driving force of investigations.
we are still waiting
A year late but it is nice to see some sanity return to Penn Ave.
lol...I know you want everyone to think that. But, even your president's lawyer is admitting that collusion isn't a crime. Now, why would he do that?

All these conspiracy nuts completely ignore that prior to beating Hillary in the primary Trump beat more than a DOZEN well known and experienced GOP contenders in the primary. Nobody is claiming that the Russians helped him with that. It isn't until we get to Hillary that all of a sudden the Russians roped Trump in and, at Trump's behest, stuck a fork in Hillary. Why do they ignore that history? Because it doesn't fit the narrative they're pushing.
Here's my theory: I think the major media outlets pushed Trump during the primaries because they figured Bush, Rubio or even Cruz had a good chance against Hillary. They figured Trump would be easy pickin's in the general. When the Podesta emails were released, which showed her extensive coordination with many of the major media outlets, they ran with the Russia stuff. There is no way Russian attempts to promote propaganda was a real secret. It had been going on for decades but nobody paid much attention to it because it wasn't particularly effective. Once Trump won, however, it not only became a great distraction from the potential that Clinton's coordination with the media would be investigated but also promised a HUGE return in driving viewership.
You want to talk about "wagging the dog"? The Trump/Russia stuff is that to a "T".
this is what gets me
we have people on here speculating on collusion, and talking as if they have actual evidence of it.
they cannot distinguish speculation and what is real.
people are so desperate for evidence its clouding their minds
