I was a two-pack a day smoker for the better part of my 51-year habit. I quit close to a year ago and have been using pouches since. I use one pack of pouches a day which cost about $3.50 compared to two packs of cigarettes which were $16 for the two.

I get withdrawals when I run out. Yes, nicotine is highly addictive, but 51 years of smoking damaged my heart, and if I need pouches to get by, so be it. I kind of like them.

And he's right, it's not. But it is addictive.

Does RFK Jr. have a nicotine addiction?

Anyways, not sure what to make of his comments as the head of HHS, but I do wonder if Zyn is giving a kickback...

So how does he plan to go after cigarettes?

No, it's not, but many other byproducts of smoking are. This has been known for decades.

Poofkins is a blithering idiot.

Vapes are NOT in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM safe.

I mean - he sounds like he's smoked for decades.

Nicotine is not harmless; it is addictive and has direct adverse effects, including increased risk for cardiovascular problems and negative impacts on fetal development. However, the real danger in smoking is the combination of the highly toxic and carcinogenic chemicals produced during the combustion of tobacco, such as tars, heavy metals, carbon monoxide, and various carcinogens, all of which contribute to severe health consequences like cancer and heart disease.

It's an intelligent approach to the problem: get people to stop smoking (the actual thing that does a lot of damage) by giving them an alternative that addresses the addictiveness (of nicotine) issue.

Compare this to big government heavy handed taxing and banning that makes poor people poorer and pushes the drug into the black market where it's even more dangerous.

I can already tell which options liberals prefer by how upset they are at this factual statement. Or am I giving them too much credit, and it's nothing more than another demonstration of TDS?

Who is the "T"?

Who is the "T"?
Trump. RFK Jr is a Trump appointee, so of course anything he says must be summarily criticized and the matter of his own personal vices must swiftly be raised.
