There is a small brotherly connection for Derek Carr in New York: his brother David played for the Giants, who play at the same stadium.

In Washington, OTOH, he would be playing against his brother's old team every year and have to wear a different jersey number.

Will Carr was to ignore all that and play for the only NFC Beast team that failed to make the playoffs last season?

The Commanders were competitive in a number of the games they lost. River and Del Rio have the defense they want; it's the passing threat that's missing.

I don't think Carr going to the Jets ends well.

With former Seahawks QB coach Dave Canales having moved on to the Buccaneers, perhaps he could persuade QB Geno Smith to sign with Tampa Bay. Seattle general manager John Schneider believes he's still got a leg up on bringing Smith back to the 'Hawks.

This is a bad headline. Geno Smith can't leave Seattle before March 15. That gives him plenty of time to decide if her wants to change teams.
