They don't understand that professors are of various ideologies but more importantly that they don't understand that professors are teaching students to think factually and critically about the subject of their expertise.....not to agree with them.

In my experience college classes are full of discussion and the students who do the best are the ones that ask difficult questions, challenge assumptions, etc....not the ones that simply regurgitate a point the professor may have made.
