New Teachers’ Certification Sparks Outrage​

Oklahoma Superintendent Ryan Walters is reportedly requiring teachers from California and New York to pass a new PragerU assessment in order to obtain state certification. Education groups warned that the requirement could politicize the credentialing process and discourage potential applicants. Critics argued that the policy may worsen teacher shortages and conflict with constitutional principles.

Walters added, "We’ve seen states like New York and California go so radical with gender theory and Marxist indoctrination, they are warping the minds of young people. We need our teachers to agree to not be woke indoctrinators in the classroom."

This traitorous moron is forcing teacher candidates to pass an "America First (KKK SLOGAN)" test to get a job in the state of Tard-a-homa.

The results of this need to be swift and painful with the ignorant morons in that state.

All federal student loans need to be denied to those from Oklahoma and no colleges in Oklahoma can be allowed to receive federal student loan funds.

Altering professional credentials that are required for people to hold in order to gain/maintain employment is nothing new. Targeting transplants from certain states may be what gets them in trouble. I wonder if they will adjust to any person seeking employment will be required to take this course as part of the credentialing process.

There is nothing wrong with asking teachers to take such a test. And asking an applicant to take a test does not, in iteself, amount to facial discrimination.

Except, perhaps, because of the fact that the test is being applied to teachers from some states and not all states.

It is far from obvious the test is measuring viewpoint. What I've said was based on the assumption that it is knowledge that is being tested.

If it is in fact a measure of viewpoint, I can see that there would be a 1st amendment problem.
