My Grandma passed last week after battling dementia the last few years. Luckily she got more goofy / childlike as it worsened - not angry and stuff. **** this disease. Hope we can cure it along with all the other bullshit our DNA throws at us.

I've been diagnosed early onset.

Right now it is memory issues....but weird shit like temporarily thinking its another decade.

I've never been good with names, now all nouns are suspect although tested, my vocabulary is "above normal"...one of the reasons I engage in these forums. But reading as a hobby is out, has been for ten years.

And....listening to people talk about themselves got old 40 years ago

But it's coming. My dad had it. I'm seeing early signs

So, don't get Alzheimer's.

If this actually works, and I hope it does, the researchers could sell it to the pharmaceutical industry for a blank check.

Anything involving the reversal of aging will be a license to print money.

The best part is due to Trump's regulations, the American drug companies, which are miles ahead of the rest of the world, are going to have to force the other nation who want their products to pony up.

There may well be something to this, although it has taken a long time to come to official notice. It has long been known that El Paso TX, certainly no garden spot, has a noticeably lower incidence of mental illness, especially Bipolar, than the general US population. If is also known that El Paso's water is polluted with lithium from a local mine. There has long been speculation that the two are connected, but it has taken a long time for anyone to study this.
