I wonder why the change up

Has the CPC realized that PP has tied his wagon to much in mimicking Trump policies that they need to roll out Harper. Who went out on a sour note ( report your neighbors )

On a side note PP laid out the Cpc budget

It includes cutting funding to universities that don't follow CPC guidelines.

Is that not something we see in the US under trumpy right now. Why the stupidity of continuing to follow Trump policies when Trump is probably the most disliked person in Canada right now

What policies does Pierre want universities to adhere to?

The platform states universities must uphold

Section 2 of the charter of rights to maintain federal funding.

Given what Trump has done that would mean speech Trump likes and that if they do things they don’t like a cut in funding

I think Trump might be able to sue Pierre for plagiarizing his platform.

I did a few Google exercises of researching Poilievre's voting history on proposed legislation.

Why anyone would conclude this guy as being a man of the people is thoroughly beyond me.

Virtually his entire career has been spent supporting big business interests over individual working people.

It frankly boggles my mind why billboards weren't erected with his picture beside a list of some of his more glaring examples of multiple "nay" votes to things like increasing minimum wage or other worker protections.

He has voted no less than ten times over the years against all affordable housing initiatives.
As Harper's " housing minister" he sold off 800,000 affordable rent units to real estate developers that contributed to the Conservatives.
He has voted against legislation requiring elder care facilities to have improved oversight with the result of them suffering huge fatality rates during the pandemic.

The list is long and damning and should have been published far more widely.

Did he vote in favour of raising the eligibility age for CPP?

Yes he did in 2012 vote in favour of raising the eligibility age from 65 to 67.

He also that year voted in favour of the creation of a gov't sponsored parallel pension investment plan that did little to benefit retirees but would be profitable to banks and investment firms.

Those should have been prominently featured in Liberal and NDP ads.

I don't understand his fixation with TFSAs

I strongly doubt many Canadians come anywhere close to maxing out their contributions in them.

Doubling it is only going to benefit the top 10% of Canadians ( in income/ wealth)

Here's hoping the polling is accurate...
