I am starting a liberal politics blog with a focus on the economic issues. I am looking for 12 liberal writers for it. I am hoping to make it the #1 politics blog on the web. Each of the twelve writers will earn 5% of the overall ad profits for the time that you write. I will get four marketers to advertise the blog and each of them will earn 5% of the profits as well. I will take in the remaining 20% of the profits (I’m the Editor, Chief Marketer, and Owner.) Warning: we will have barely any profits for the first 6 months and very little profits until about 1 to 1.5 years into it. Basically, I want people that enjoy writing about politics more than people expecting big money immediately.
I’m looking for Liberal writers who are knowledgeable about politics and can write about all the issues that our (United States) government faces today. This ranges from talking today’s headlines to talking about broad political ideas. The focus will be economic issues, but all political issues can be discussed. If you are one of those liberals who don’t care about the economic issues and just care about the social issues, then this job is not for you. I’m looking for people who range anywhere from far-left to moderate-left in ideology.
Each of the writers just needs to create one post on one day a week. One average, the post should be between 200-400 words, however no minimum or maximum will be required, but it’s good to stay around 200-400. A good way to do a post is in a sentence or two recap today’s news and then write your opinions about the subject.
Each writer will be assigned one day (or certain days) a week to write. Generally, you should write on your day, but if you post on the wrong day, then it’s not the end of the world.
Here are the open slots:
Monday: Open
Tuesday: Open
Wednesday: Open
Thursday: Open
Friday: Open
Sunday: Open
Monday/Tuesday: Open
Wednesday/Thursday: Open
Mon-Thurs: Open
Friday/Saturday: Open
Saturday/Sunday: Open
Fri-Sun: Open
For the ones that have a slash or a dash, you still only need one post a week, but you can choose out of those days when you want to post it.
I will give each person a trial run of about 4-5 posts to see if you are able to write and know a thing or two about the issues. If you’re any good then I’ll keep you on the team.
On election years (both mid-term and presidential) the election will many times be the primary topic. In years like this (2009) the actual legislation will be a bigger topic.
The blog is called Moving Leftward. Originally, I intended to write and advertise this blog all by myself. I really don’t have enough time to write the blog all on my own, considering that promoting it takes just as much time as writing it. With 12 different writers, however, it can grow a million times larger than it could if it just had me.
Moving Leftward
Contact me if you’re interested. Give me you your name, email address, and what day or days you want. You’re going to need a PayPal account too eventually (so I can pay you.)
