In the call, Lara Trump, who has a senior role in Donald Trump’s re-election campaign, offers Manigault Newman a job that would pay US$180,000 a year in exchange for occasionally attending meetings in New York and doing “speaking engagements”.
Lara Trump said in the phone conversation that “it sounds a little, like, obviously, that there are some things you’ve got in the back pocket to pull out”. However, she noted that if Mangault Newman joined the campaign, everything she would say about Trump would have to be “positive”.
God only knows how many tapes Omarosa has. See has been able to pull up a relevant tape for every circumstance either Trump or his minions have thrown at her for a week now. You can't convince me that she knew exactly how they would come at her and "funny thing" had just the tapes on just the people that she needed. She must have tons of these things and as I said earlier, she is just going to squeeze them out like toothpaste from a tube.
I listened to the vid. Seems they were offering her a job on the campaign staff at 180K per year. How does that equate to "hush money"?

It was what is known as a sinecure--a do nothing job. It's a common form of bribery in politics. It's clear in the audio that she would asked to do nothing but give a few speeches for $180k / year after being fired from the White House. Why would you fire someone and then hire them in a do nothing job? We all know the answer. It's a bribe to silence her. More Trump hush money.
Do you deny this?
Writing in Vanity Fair, Garbriel reports that President Donald Trump “told advisers that he wants Attorney General Jeff Sessions to have [Omarosa] Manigault Newman arrested, according to one Republican briefed on the conversations. (It’s unclear what law Trump believes she broke.)”
Omarosa releases tape of US$180,000-a-year ‘hush money’ offer from Lara Trump
Maybe Trump should have given her a suitcase full of cash. She could easily make more than a measly $15k/month on a book deal. Why is the billionaire so cheap with his bribes?
I wonder how many people Trump has paid to keep quiet.
The White House paying people to keep quiet. Let's hear the Trump apologists spin this. It should be fun...
opcorn2:
It's quite obvious she could make more with a book deal than 180k/year. Especially since she obviously knows how to manipulate. Trump would know this. Which begs the question...why WOULD Trump offer a measly 180k/year as hush money? Most people would be offering far more.
Anyways, this tape still does not support the claim of "hush money". It was nothing more than a job offer to speak and be positive about Trump. Plus, its an edited tape. I want to hear the FULL tape in order to get full context. Not an edited version.

The Trump camp must be in Red Alert stage trying to remember everyone's conversation with Omarosa. It is actually kind of funny and almost appears to be a comedy.
That is what happens when you let in a Reality TV star into the White House and they in turn bring in another Reality TV star. This is turning out to be a White House Apprentice tv show.
What more can go wrong with these dingbats?
Under the federal Wiretap Act, it is illegal for any person to secretly record an oral, telephonic, or electronic communication that other parties to the communication reasonably expect to be private. (18 U.S.C. § 2511.)
Om-a-grifter better lawyer up.
.To get some answers, I reached out to Stephen Vladeck, a law professor at the University of Texas who specializes in national security and constitutional law. A lightly edited transcript of our conversation follows.
Sean Illing
First of all, did Omarosa commit a crime by secretly recording John Kelly in the White House Situation Room?
Stephen Vladeck
Probably not. If you try hard enough, you could make a whole lot of things violations of the Espionage Act, and someone who sat down with a copy of the Espionage Act could probably find a way to argue that Omarosa violated it, but I don’t see any way to make that argument legally plausible.
Given your support of dishonesty, you should probably change your username to Mendacium
.
Did Omarosa’s secret recordings break the law? I asked a legal expert

Show where I supported it or stop lying.
Show me a politician who doesn't lie. As for the MSM, they aren't independent anymore. They are a wing of the Democrat party and further its agenda daily. Outside of Fox, talk radio, the WSJ and a few other places, conservatives get no fair coverage. Look at the daily blubbering about Omarosa. The MSM devotes absurd amounts of time to her because they see another way to attack Trump. When I grew up in the 60's and 70's we knew the MSM was liberal but they had some semblance of impartiality. That is long gone.
Don't think that will play. Single consent recording is legal in DC for one thing.
Here you go...
I quoted your entire post so as to not take you out of context.
Now is the point where you try to convince us that "show me a politician who doesn't lie" is not a defense of lying.

It isn't. It's a statement of fact. Glad I could clear that up for you.
