Omarosa releases tape of US$180,000-a-year ‘hush money’ offer from Lara Trump

Maybe Trump should have given her a suitcase full of cash. She could easily make more than a measly $15k/month on a book deal. Why is the billionaire so cheap with his bribes?

I wonder how many people Trump has paid to keep quiet.

Makes more sense to have Omarosa in the tent pissing out, than the other way around.........
 
God only knows how many tapes Omarosa has. See has been able to pull up a relevant tape for every circumstance either Trump or his minions have thrown at her for a week now. You can't convince me that she knew exactly how they would come at her and "funny thing" had just the tapes on just the people that she needed. She must have tons of these things and as I said earlier, she is just going to squeeze them out like toothpaste from a tube.
 
I listened to the vid. Seems they were offering her a job on the campaign staff at 180K per year. How does that equate to "hush money"?
 

I would not be surprised to find out she recorded everything that she possibly could. The memory card on her phone must have gotten a strong workout

The argument she is making is that it was not actually a campaign job...it was a do whatever you want from wherever you want to do it from for 15k a month which could logically be considered hush money. If they never sent her a job title and a set of job responsibilities, it would be hard to argue that they were actually planning on calling on her to do anything.

It was what is known as a sinecure--a do nothing job. It's a common form of bribery in politics. It's clear in the audio that she would asked to do nothing but give a few speeches for $180k / year after being fired from the White House. Why would you fire someone and then hire them in a do nothing job? We all know the answer. It's a bribe to silence her. More Trump hush money.

Yup...in fact the only "requirement" identified in the recording itself is that whatever Omarosa has in her "back pocket" had to stay in her back pocket. In other words, she had to shut up about what she knew. The very definition of hush money.

I'm sure the White House will deny the story that Trump wants Sessions to arrest her and if there are no tapes who is to say what the truth is. Maybe they should make sure that nobody in the room was recording that conversation before they deny it. LOL

With a normal president, I would be shocked at the corruption. But Trump has made it all so comical that I can only laugh. Surely, this is some form of political comedy.
 

It's quite obvious she could make more with a book deal than 180k/year. Especially since she obviously knows how to manipulate. Trump would know this. Which begs the question...why WOULD Trump offer a measly 180k/year as hush money? Most people would be offering far more.

Anyways, this tape still does not support the claim of "hush money". It was nothing more than a job offer to speak and be positive about Trump. Plus, its an edited tape. I want to hear the FULL tape in order to get full context. Not an edited version.

You've proven with your comment that you are willing to defend anything. Why don't you just come out and admit what is obvious, you don't care if Trump is corrupt? You agree with Trump's politics and if he's corrupt and dishonest, so what? That's your position.
 

The Trump camp must be in Red Alert stage trying to remember everyone's conversation with Omarosa. It is actually kind of funny and almost appears to be a comedy.

That is what happens when you let in a Reality TV star into the White House and they in turn bring in another Reality TV star. This is turning out to be a White House Apprentice tv show.

The fact that Trump is still president proves that our political system is completely broken.

My concern is that if we end up with a corrupt Democrat version of Trump, Democrats will just point to Trump and excuse everything. Trump has set a new standard. It's OK to be totally corrupt if you have enough support.

No, that is a complete misread. Single consent means ONLY ONE side must consent. Does not matter which side. In single consent environments the consent of the party recording is sufficient to meet the standard.
 

I am waiting for her to slip up and release classified recordings.

It is a fact but it's a fact employed to excuse lying. What was your intent in claiming that all politicians lie? What does that have to do with Trump being caught fabricating a claim that U.S. Steel is planning to build six new plants?
