Good. IMHO its counter to fair elections to tell voters in the west their votes won't matter because of winners being declared based on exit polling in the east. As casualty of modern communications technology. I wise they'd scrap all exit polling.
I don't know, I like having a second layer of numbers-checking. While not really a big deal on the national scale, in small local elections they can spot discrepancies that might be indicative of ballot stuffing.
I agree with Smeagol. I remember elections, where the winner was declared before the polls closed in the west. I did actually see people turn away from the polls. Not good.
More likely following my dear grandmother's advice that "If you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question."
It’s tough for people to get to polls, from work, Fisher. I'd like to see election day, be a national holiday, as it is in some other countries. Oregon has vote by mail, so actual voting isn't a problem, but hearing the election called early is a problem for other western states too. There are still the suspect Debolt (sp?) voting machines at work also, but that's another problem.
fine nonsense it is...
people in my state know unless we get down our tax rate more people will be leaving it.. its not like we are a RED STATE that si thriving ... Chris is doing a good job though and people know that here..
You're clueless about your own state, Bro. Obama is up 13.4%.
RealClearPolitics - Election 2012 - New Jersey: Romney vs. Obama
again.. you have not a clue.. I passed 3 rallies against Obama just this morning....
your fraudwonder is going down.. PS: Florida just went into Romney's column...
Not sure, but I really don't see why we need exit polling in places like New York, Texas, California, Hawaii etc. We can be sure of who those will go to already. I know I wouldn't waste my money on states that have been decided months ago.
EDIT: Scratch that not sure part of my post. You posted the article, if you actually read it it tells you very clearly why they are doing this. They are allocating resources away from states that are leaning solidly to one candidate and focusing on states that are less decided. Also it goes into detail about the difficulties of exit polling given how much early voting occurs.
All you had to do was read the article.
Seeing as you're so confident, I'm sure you'd be happy to bet on your man winning NJ, right? As he would say, $10,000?

If Santa were on the ballot, I'd totally vote for him. Assuming he's a natural born citizen, of course.
Are you talking about the little old white guy in a red suit that goes around calling people bad names? That Santa?
Demographic breakdowns, historical trends.Seems like a smart move to me. Why put people in all those states when they know in advance that they are going to call them five minutes into their broadcast, and they already know which way they're going to go.
