You don't undestand. Its not a temper tantrum. Its in our self interest. We get to keep our money if we don't pay our federal income tax. If we don't get FEMA funding, or Federal School money or Medicaid funds coming back, why on earth would we pay into the federal coffers? I know I would rather donate to my state govt than send it to pay for Trump's priorities.

The irony of this is off the charts.

I've noticed that quite a few MAGA/Trump supporters follow a very simple--indeed, simpleminded--tactic: whatever someone on what they perceive as "the left" says about them, they just turn around and say it about "the left," whether or not there's remotely any basis in reality for making the accusation. Almost like a murderer who, upon getting a guilty verdict, shouts out "you're the ones who did the murder!" Weirdly, about a third of the country seems to think such tactic makes total sense.

I'm curious as to whether you would pay a contractor who was supposed to do work on some property you owned, but who did not do that work. Would you nevertheless pay them? Would you feel obligated to pay them?
