This thread is for all things NBA for the 2025 off-season.

The Celtics will be having a second apron clearance sale. Everything must go. Crazy Braddy's prices are insane ...

Getting Anfernee for Jrue and two poker chip 2nd rounders.
Simons really wasn’t a part of the Blazers 23-18 second half success.
He’s the guy you pass the ball to and never see it again.
But, I’m in the minority opinion on this.

Amazing luck the Mavs would get the #1 pick with such slim odds.

Speculation here is that Anfernee is not a long-term piece. They will flip him either later this summer or at the trade deadline.

I think the Celtics have two objectives:

- Use this season to get under the luxury tax an reset the apron clock.
- Have pieces in place for the 2026/27 season when Tatum is back and presumably healthy.

They loaded up on contracts 24 months ago to create a three-year championship window. They won it in year 1. Tatum's injury is cut off years 2 and 3. (Through truth be told, with a healthy Tatum they were not going to win this year; too flawed a playing style despite all that talent.)

I’ll have to give on what the hell was Portland thinking about taking on Jrue’s contract and age.
It’s just I saw how well Portland played without Simons in the rotation.
And how does the KD to HOU deal make any sense?

Atlanta takes on another Boston contract after Portland helped them out.

More from Shams:

Shams is busy today with signings.

Pacers lose Turner to Milwaukee, ugh! Now we have no center and there's not much out there on the open market. Ayton, who they wanted a couple of years ago, is pretty much it.
