Trump is headed to the NATO summit, so I thought this would be a good time to start a thread to highlight all of the ways he continues to embarrass us.

Of course, Mr. "Peace Through Strength" mostly failed on both fronts, so he goes to the summit a weakened buffoon.

Will Trump stay for the whole thing? Will he actually not act like a petulant man-child? Or will he come home early like he did from the G7 so he can avoid being made to look like a fool again?

Should be fun!

Here's another take...more realistic than the OP's nonsense.

Just what we all needed. A preemptive inoculation against Mycroft - and just barely in time!

:ROFLMAO:
Of course. Snark at the truth early before the truth is presented. That's the SNOWFLAKE way.

Don't tell me your feelings got hurt? Sorry about that. Need a hug?

It does conjure such an apropos image, doesn't it? - Trump as an overgrown reptile, screeching loudly, smashing through cities, crushing people and cars. And what lizard doesn't have a forked tongue like Trump? I can see him throwing a tantrum as I write this.

Reminds of that scene in Pretty Woman.

Hollister: Mr. Lewis? How's it going so far?
Edward: Pretty well, I think. I think we need some major sucking up.
Hollister: Very well, sir. You're… not only handsome, but a powerful man. I could see the second you walked in here, you were someone to reckon with…

For sure. That's what all those NATO dudes will be doing to Trump. Hell, some countries started before he even got there.

This makes me think of the execution of Saddam Hussein. When some of the men present shouted the name of Muqtada al-Sadr, Hussein responded sarcastically, "Is this your manhood?"

Is Trump where you keep your manhood, Mycroft?

Nowadays, they treat him like he has not only every STD in existence, but also like he has Ebola.

I hope Trump links Article 5 to a serious commitment to Article 3. I think the adherence to Article 5 should be as "loosely" followed toward all countries who aren't willing to meet and preferably exceed their obligations - the slacker group, as the adherence to Article 3 has been adhered to by those slacker countries.

I think the U.S. should potentially give serious consideration to exiting the alliance. Then maybe the slackers will begin to understand they need to do more than show up for - planning to someday plan to make a plan - meetings. Or they can just cross their fingers that their entirely deficient security somehow works out for them.

While President Biden promises to “defend every inch” of NATO territory, his rival Donald Trump is far more ambivalent.

The Article 5 wording is vague. It states that an attack against one member “shall be considered an attack against them all.” What is quoted less often is that each member state only has an obligation to take “such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force.”
