Get out there and stage a major protest and memorial in honor of Melissa and Mark Hortman, who were killed by a right wing nutjob.Days before a memorial service for Charlie Kirk, the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives passed a "National Day of Remembrance" for the conservative influencer after he was killed on Sept. 10.
The Senate on Thursday unanimously approved a resolution marking Oct. 14, 2025 -- Kirk's birthday -- a "National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk."

Why isn't anyone even thinking about this?
They're driven by hatred, so everything has to be anti-_____. Perhaps there wasn't a recently murdered right-winger fresh enough at the time...Who stopped (or tried to stop) you from having a “memorial in honor of Melissa and Mark Hortman”?
OH Lord, consider the irony of THAT statement considering your constant negativity about the left. Sheesh. Look in the mirror. They're driven by hatred
Did I start a thread calling for the right to hijack a Hortman vigil or something?OH Lord, consider the irony of THAT statement considering your constant negativity about the left. Sheesh. Look in the mirror.
We're talking about an ACT OF CONGRESS. Please keep up. We don't control what Congress does. Trump didn't even put the flags at half mast for the Hortmans. We can't control that.Who stopped (or tried to stop) you from having a “memorial in honor of Melissa and Mark Hortman”?
I propose we care as much about your martyrs as you care about ours. That should have you screaming about hatred at levels over 9000 right there while showing just how unaware you are of the concept of irony. They're driven by hatred, so everything has to be anti-_____. I take back what I said. Your posts are almost entirely whiny. Poor you. So it might not be hatred but deep down insecurity.Did I start a thread calling for the right to hijack a Hortman vigil or something?
The irony escapes them.I propose we care as much about your martyrs as you care about ours. That should have you screaming about hatred at levels over 9000 right there while showing just how unaware you are of the concept of irony.
Fyi, October 14th is also George Floyd's birthday...House, Senate pass 'National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk' ahead of memorial service

The difference here is that Charlie's memorial can be trolled simply by making giant poster boards of his comments and celebrating how awkward and angry they make his own supporters feel......Who stopped (or tried to stop) you from having a “memorial in honor of Melissa and Mark Hortman”?

But we can control whether or not this accursed Remembrance day gets wrecked and interrupted.

It would make more sense to honor all victims of political violence which we essentially do on September 11th. We do have some individuals who are honored for their bravery on that front, i.e. Martin Luther King Jr. I sincerely ask because I really want to understand: What do those in favor of honoring Charlie Kirk feel he did to move the needle of our society in the US?
We can do that, too.The difference here is that Charlie's memorial can be trolled simply by making giant poster boards of his comments and celebrating how awkward and angry they make his own supporters feel......
Agreed. We can add that to the "Day of Remembrance"!Fyi, October 14th is also George Floyd's birthday...
...just sayin'...
So "Who stopped (or tried to stop) you from having a memorial in honor of Melissa and Mark Hortman?" was just an act of trolling because you already knew there was no way we could do what the GOP Congress is doing while you're challenging us to do so.Yep, the minority party lacks control.
He's creating a government-sponsored cult.Yep, Trump gives preference to his supporters.
It seems BASED SNOWFLAKE has you sorted out perfectly:OK, it seems you want others to throw a public tantrum because you think not enough (official?) national attention was given to the Hortman’s murders. Such a unifying message is bound to be widely appreciated.
But to add to this: you people are throwing the world's biggest tantrum over Kirk's assassination, which was no worse than the assassination of the Hortmans. Or all the others killed by far right extremists. More you lacking the barest semblance of self-awareness.The irony escapes them.
Is there some problem you have with him? So far the left's smoking gun has been that he believed in the Bible.Honoring a partisan like this is a pretty strong indication that the GOP isn't interested in bringing us together.
Is that true?Fyi, October 14th is also George Floyd's birthday...
...just sayin'...
By you people I am sure you meant you Righties out there since I am not one of them.We can do that, too.
Agreed. We can add that to the "Day of Remembrance"!

He said "it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights." Innocent people, in his views, have to die for the Second Amendment. This is a nutjob take. And karma hit when he became one of the gun deaths that are "necessary" for the second amendment (let's see if the moderators will allow me to state facts, eh?)Is there some problem you have with him? So far the left's smoking gun has been that he believed in the Bible.
Just look at the folks the right chooses to idolize. Limbaugh, Kirk, jones and of course trump, the biggest spreaders of dissent.Who stopped (or tried to stop) you from having a “memorial in honor of Melissa and Mark Hortman”?
