After eight long years of enduring a decidedly incompetent Democrat (as if that isn't redundant) making a mockery of the WH, I'd like to offer what I call, my view. First off, I have stated emphatically, that I have serious misgivings about Trump, as evidenced by his past behavior. I hope I am not proven right in my reservations, only time will tell. But the alternative would surely have spelled disaster for the US. That being said, let me offer up this. It is good to see President Obama (this is the first time I properly capitalized the title, so bear with me) calling for reconciliation and cooperation. Second, Hillary realized her message was not what America, especially the Rust Belt and Great Lakes regions, wanted. America wants the "bull in the China Shop" to shake up the Establishment politicos, and so graciously conceded. My hope for her is that she address her legal matters in an equally gracious tone. Third, and very critical, the GOP holds both the House and Senate. So the SCOTUS is safe for now. As I learn more of Trump's agenda, I am beginning to like what I see. He seems to want to focus more on the nation and less on what the world thinks of us. Isolationist? I don't know. As a side note, I am beginning to reexamine some of my long held views, certainly not on the moral issues, but on more of the governmental and economic issues.
