It's year #20 of our fantasy league. I am a multiple champion if that matters.

There are 16 teams and we play Head-to-Head. We are currently declaring keepers and intend to start the draft right after the Super Bowl.

My kept roster. I will not go into the arcana of our keeper/option system. I rank myself 3rd going into the draft.

Been playing fantasy baseball CBS H2H point leagues for about 12 years. Found playing in 3 leagues is the right amount. First draft will be early March, 2nd mid March. 3rd will be on last weekend before opening Day. Spread them out on purpose.

Really enjoy draft days....Try get a variety of players I like across my 3 teams. Going to miss having Acuna this season, he's going to be drafted 1st and I never get the #1 pick.
 
3 more days in fantasy baseball season then I can relax and stop rooting for and against players and teams based on my fantasy team.

Like the competition but hate losing and take the results too seriously.
 
My first draft is tomorrow. Have the 1st pick. Will have to choose between Ohtani, Witt, or Judge.

Never been in any sports leagues but always interested in and cheering on others. Like at a craps table.

While I flipped to KC last year for someone to cheer for other than CWS, these HBPs to the forearm, and especially the hands, are quite concerning.

I’m feeling regression amongst Bobby, Salvy, and the Royals, but saw Ragans in mid-season form against the Cubs opening day lineup, with 6 wipeout Ks in 3.0 innings.

Judge is due to bounce back and the NYY are thin for usage.
The LAD have enough stars to even overshadow Shohei at times.
 
Fantasy wise Ohtani was by far the best player after his historic season. He's not going to get as many at bats and will steal fewer bases which means he's not going to dominate fantasy wise. He'll eventually pitch which makes him valuable in my league because I can choose to use him as a pitcher in any given week. However, increases his injury chances.

Think Witt improves, but like you're saying team could regress which means fewer counting stats.

Judge loses Soto and have to consider his injury history.

It's unlikely I'm going to get another first pick in my other two leagues so I'm going to pick Ohtani. Yeah, admit I'm being a fanboy.
 
Can't play for money in CBS leagues here in California. Still, very inexpensive hobby with friendly competition and minimal time invested in setting a weekly lineup.

Big numbers guy and baseball is full of stats.
 
Getting out of the NL this year will be tough.

For going to games, I’m looking at NL East teams in the Midwest, KC & CO, maybe CWS.
Noticed KC is finishing at the ATH A’s, or W. Sacramento AAA field.

Judge could benefit more than Ohtani from playing on AL fields.

Projections in my league has Judge as the top player with Ohtani and Witt right behind. So you're thinking is correct. Could still get a chance to draft Judge, doubt I'll get another chance at getting Ohtani.

Injuries in SP do have an impact on draft day. Thankfully Witt and Riley seem to be ok. Injury to Gunnar is causing him to fall in average draft position and hoping to get the discount in one of my drafts. Play in shallow leagues so get to draft lots of star players.

You mention ball parks and schedule. Both are important in fantasy baseball. Orioles right handed bats get a bump as do A's bats. Rays and A's pitchers take a hit in fantasy value.

I decided to go back to Coors for a series because their staff is back.
I’m now going to work mass transit from Denver out.
Kauffman KC & GEHA are right across the road from an aging Best Western.
 
You're getting the most out of retirement! We have travel plans when we retire which will include Kauffman and Louisville for the Derby. Wouldn't mind adding a game in
Denver to iteniary.

Philly rotation is great. Wheeler would cost an early draft pick. Nola could be a value pick and Sanchez with some improvement in his road performance would make him a bargain. Luzardo hasn't lived up to expectations, but has a fresh start. Ball Park is a bit of a negative and division is tough outside of Marlins. Washington isn't great but should be improved with their young talent.
 
Other than a couple of season long NFL leagues, haven't done season long in any other sport since I started doing daily fantasy sports about 11 years ago. In DFS I do NFL, NBA, MLB and PGA.

Might give DF for MLB a go one of these years. Have a online account for Horse Racing to bet Kentucky Derby and Breeders Cup and occasionally throughout the year. Use to love getting Daily Racing Form and studying the night before. Every race is a numbers puzzle.
 
My dad was part of a syndicate that owned race horses. I spent many a weekend afternoon, during my teenage years, with a copy of the racing form, handicapping away, at tracks up and down the east coast. I still like to go to the track when I get the chance.
 
My sister lives in Arkansas and her husband knows Steven Asmussen. They take a trip to Oaklawn just about every year and he's been in the winners circle when one of his trained horses have one. Sends me pictures when he does. We'll make the trip with them one day.





I've been to Del Mar, Santa Anita, and Hollywood Park where the SoFi stadium is now. My first experience to horse racing was at 18 when my friend's father took us to Tijuana's Agua Caliente racetrack.

Steve's brother Cash rode some of my dad's syndicates horses in New Jersey and New York in the early 80s before Cash had to move to Europe to ride, because he was too tall to make weight in the states. He was a good guy, but at just under 5'10", it was a struggle for him.

I grew up going to Belmont, Saratoga, Aqueduct, Monmouth, the Meadowlands, Pimlico, Bowie, etc. Too many to mention. Every August for the Saratoga yearly sales and then the Keenland sales. Good times. I had a blast.
 
I've heard and read the struggles to make weight for jockeys. Nightmarish for some.

My first big single bet score. $2 exacta box with 3 horses. Paid a little over $1000. A tax signer 1st Perfect Travel - Corey Black 2nd Reconnoitering - Aaron Gryder
Pretty much hooked from there.

There was a time when I would bet every weekend when I was single. Now it's mostly only big racing days. Been watching some Kentucky Prep Races. Won a few bucks on Journalism and might be one of the favorites on Derby Day.
 
Journalism wins Santa Anita Derby going away despite a terrible trip. Should be the favorite in the Derby.

I've never made a future wager for Kentucky Derby for this reason. Been tempted a few times though.

Stuck inside behind horses before getting outside and motoring home. Time on the slow side but maybe will help with his odds abit.
 
That was a weirdly run race. With that said, I tend to look for horses with a little longer odds in the Derby. You need a lot of luck with a 20 horse field, especially with relatively inexperienced 3 year olds in May. The best horse doesn't always win, so if I'm taking my chances, I want a better payout.
