What is with these Conservatives suddenly asking the Monarchy to misuse executive authority? (Poilievre tried the same thing in Canada)

I guess he's taking this Kekius Maximus alter ego thing to the next level.

When these piece of billionaire shit-stains eventually crash the global economy, we're going to wise up and make it so that we create tax and regulatory structures so that there can't be any billionaires anymore -- either that or the military junta will see to it that the number of billionaires is greatly reduced. Our choice.

What is it with these liberals only telling half the story. He called fro the King to dissolve Parliament and immediately hold new elections.

The issue is not "immediately hold new elections" as that is the custom and a normal part of the Monarch's constitutional role.

The issue is dismissal of Parliament before its term has ended. That is abuse of authority and may not even be legal under UK law under The Fixed Term Parliament Act.

While the Monarchy technically has this power I can't see them ever using it as it would be a great way for the UK to become a Republic.

The most Charles will do is maybe call for something to be done but even that would be seen as meddling in politics in a way the previous Queen would never do.

If it's not legal, then there's nothing to worry about.

Dissolve Parliament means hold an election. Or do you think the King could dissolve Parliament and rule himself?

Perhaps Elon should contribute $250 million to the King's reelection before he is making such demands of the King?

There's nothing to worry about period. Charles (and the Canadian GG) are not even remotely likely to take this extreme step.

The point of the thread is conservatives attempting to usurp democratic process by appeals to the Monarchy.

Musk wants to be the first ruler of the entire world and is working toward it.

No, the point of the thread was to convey the false impression that Musk is calling for the Monarchy to abuse its power by dissolving Parliament.

If the Monarchy doesn't have the power to do that, then it can't be done.
And if the Monarchy DOES have the power to do that, then it's by design and wouldn't be an abuse.

He is exactly calling for that three times now.

He doesn't know what power the King has.

The Monarch follows tradition and precident in these matters and there's no cause to dismiss Parliament. It would certainly be abuse.

There's that MAGA thing at work where, "Is it illegal? Indictable? No? Then it's fine!"
And they, with world-class hubris, think their 'standards' are how the world should work.

Three times now he's re-tweeted calls for the King to intervene.
Musk has been all over Twitter for a time now, trying to resurrect a scandal from the recent past. Not happy unless he is stirring the pot.

He has posted misinformation before with no consequenses.

Adrian sure does have some big ideas.

Great plan 🙄
