Tesla Price on 12/31/24 = $419.90 Price now 03/21 = $234.99 a loss of $184.91/share

Yeah, we're still a month away from their next quarterly earnings report.

I suspect it's not going to be very good but they'll spin it as an inventory issue related to the Model Y refresh. One issue I'm very, very concerned about is Musk's newfound control over the SEC. Up until now, when it came to properly representing a company's earnings and financial health in a 10K or 10Q filing, the SEC was basically God, with absolute control to demand compliance with proper accounting rules. Now with Musk effectively in charge, I wonder whether we'll start to see businesses cut corners with their filings (like in China) causing companies like Tesla basically lie about their financial health. Without the SEC to stop them, I'm not sure whom else would?

And what makes this very, very scary is the precedent it sets. If investors start to sense that securities on NYSE, NASDAQ etc. are playing fast and loose with their reported financials, we'll see capital flow out of this country like we've never seen before.

It’s unfortunate that you dedicated most of your time here shilling for him and demonizing those who stoop up to him, all while telling the world how you actually believed that calling a Congress Member “wundumho” was somehow cool and edgy. But, here we are, with Donald in charge, no further SEC investigations of Musk companies, and you get to enjoy the consequences of what you worked so hard to see realized.
