Hello guys!
Looking though the posts in "Europe" section i've noticed the request by many users for more "serious" discussions in this forum. Even if i regard the Muslim immigration one an important matter, i think that it is just secondary to the loosing of "identity" and "sense" within european nations, in world changing so fast in a way that isn't always understandable. Europe is facing many problems. One of them surely is the day-by-day decreasing power of the "Europeist" idea, with the various member States acting more often for national rather than communitarian interests, more europeans asking for less EU integration rather than more and the rising of political parties opposing the EU (must be said that the few that have been done for the european integration is often poorly done). On the brink of collpase, the European Union must rethink and reform itself if it wants to be a top political actor in the future, one that counts something.
On March 25th, at the upcoming Treaty of Rome anniversary, it would be likely that Merkel will propose her idea of a "Multi-Speed Europe" (MSE).

In fact, MSE is already a reality for a number of reasons. But with it's formalization there's someone who think that Europe will become a German colony, while others think that a "lighter" EU composed of memebrs united by the same will to act on the same topics could create more opportunities for economic and social growth and to influence international politic. So, what do you think of this proposal, and more generally speaking what do you think should be the political shape of the future Union (if any Union should be?).
