The Russian angle and who was present may provide more reasoning into the firing of Comey.
Mueller is moving faster and harder.
Note the warrants for Mantafort.
Wonder when Flynn will flip?

None, yet Flynn now has a legal defense fund, will not accept funds from Trump or the campaign.
Flipping smaller fish, with a lower charge/sentence is often used to go after the larger ones. Is that correct?
 

When one is building a case to put away the one who must be gotten the more the better!
 
Trump could fire Comey for any reason at all. Plus, since Comey told Trump he was not under investigation, what justice was Trump obstructing by firing him?
And people keep thinking that Flynn and Manafort are going to 'flip.' Flip and testify to what?

I think Trump fired him because Comey would not make it known that Trump was not under investigation. But the investigation continued uninterrupted and not one person has claimed that Trump acted in any way to obstruct the investigation.
 
Either way its not a good day for Trump and his deplorables. There were actual posters here who believed as there was no new news on the Mueller front, that it was a nothing burger. You Righties want some toppings for that something burger? Even if this amounts to nothing, it has weakened Trump politically, and that is a good thing !! Wonder if Don Jr looks good in prison stripes? Hmm

Perhaps because Trump was not under investigation, yet Comey permitted the impression that he was to permeate, whoch in turn was sapping his sdministration.

This isn't really new news. Everyone expected him to be looking into the obstruction angle. But you are right, this entire Russia nonsense is an effort by the left to weaken Trump politically. And that has been a success.

The truth is the bolder part. That's all this witch hunt is about. It's a lame attempt to weaken trump politically that will most likely backfire on them if they don't make some credible charge stick.

I think we need a Special Council to investigate the Special Council. Talk about abuse of power! He wants to investigate the Comey firing, he's going back a decade on Manafort, he hires a bunch of democrat lawyers. This guy needs to be canned, ASAP.
