Orbiting Carbon Observation - 2 (standalone satellite) was launched in 2014. OCO-3 (sensor attached to ISS) was launched in 2019. It was a TWO YEAR mission. The mission is long over. We should stop spending money on old out of date projects.

Because the money would be much better spent handling whatever problems arise.

The problems are coming plenty slow enough. Over decades and centuries. So there's plenty of time to slowly make adjustments and spend money where needed.
