Montreal police investigate after Jewish man with young children attacked, beaten

Not a menace to anyone who doesn't start wars with them.

I don't know about you, but I find it pretty easy to not start wars with Israel. All you have to do is let them live their lives in peace.

You forgot about the part where they are indiscriminately targeting Palestinians, which you support.

I am not aware of any indiscriminate targeting. Last I knew Israel was using AI to choose the targets.

But, if you don't like wars with Israel, don't start them. It's really quite simple.

No projection. The neonazi hate speech that you posted is appalling.

Repeating the neonazi hate speech doesn't make it any less appalling.

More projection plus Godwin's law.

How would a Charlottesville NAZI rally be received in Canada
I see that as hate speech

Actually yes, it would and they would be arrested if they proceeded after being warned.

I read where some far right Christian preacher with racist overtones had planned to stage a rally in Nova Scotia and was shut down, denied a permit.

We have a Charter of Rights but it limits certain and bans anything that will cause harm. Here, the debate is about how imperfect is the document, but elsewhere it is seen as one of the best vehicles to protect individual rights

More projection
That is incorrect. You are the one who posted neonazi hate speech. I posted no hate speech of any kind.

plus Godwin's law.
Doesn't apply when someone is falsely accusing Jews of committing imaginary atrocities.

Really really REALLY doesn't apply when someone is falsely accusing Jews of committing genocide. Of all the horrifically cruel thigs to say.

Gosh. I knew Canada wasn't free. But sometimes it is shocking how unfree they are.

What harms comes from people expressing themselves?

I mean, I know that neonazi ideology is appalling. But the way to confront bad ideas is to peacefully challenge them.

Tell that to the Hungarians in 56, in 68 to the Czechoslovaks, Georgia in 08 and Russia in 2014
Or the upcoming sellout of Ukraine

Your genocide-condoning lies are hard to keep straight because you are spamming them everywhere.

No lies on my end. All the lies are in the hate speech that you keep posting.

Does it make you proud to falsely accuse Jews of committing genocide?

This attack is just another piece of proof related to the long and regrettable history of antisemitism which has been a part of Montreal and the wider Quebec societies for generations. It disgusts me. Montrealers and Quebecois have to come to terms with this history of prejudice and hate and stop this kind of violence in its tracks. To be full in disclosure Montreal has a growing tradition of Islamophobia too, so that has to be dealt with also. It is hard to be "un autre" ("an other") in a society as insular and xenophobic as that of Quebec's. Things are changing slowly but this prejudice is deep rooted and is a broad spectrum in the province. It doesn't help that the provincial government has passed laws discriminating against the open display of religious symbols for any public employee either and then is inconsistent in its enforcement.

My apologies too all as a former Monrealer.
Evilroddy.

The comments on Twitter are a disgraceful and concerning mix of Islamophobia and Antisemitism. The images are too hateful and disturbing to post on this forum but they reveal there's a lot of sick people out there.

Allan:

Very true unfortunately.

Be well and be safe.

You should or may have read None is to many

JANFU:

Yes, I read it and used it as a teaching tool for years.

Cheers and be well.
Evilroddy.

I've never heard the phrase "none is too many" before.

I grew up with antisemitism in my home. Ironically in grade 9 our school ran out of room so the district moved three classes including me to a public Jewish school next door.

I realized very quickly that everything I'd learned at home was complete bullshit.
