"Missouri governor calls special session to redraw congressional maps"

"They did it first!" isn't a valid answer?
Of course not, since apartheid republiskkkum should be the only states allowed to do this.

What animal does your Illinois district look like when you squint your eyes?

Until she does --- which you conveniently never see.
Correct, Americans rarely if ever see @Josie holding her fellow soldiers to task for much of anything. Abbott can redistrict to his heart's content, Missouri can do the same, and the best we can expect from @Josie--as evidenced on this thread--is "but California!"

If I was still living in California, I would very likely vote against proposition 50 there. Back when I was within that state, I voted for the two propositions that ended partisan districting there.
I am living in California now and I will vote for it. One year ago, I would not have. Greg Abbott successfully swayed my vote.

Yes its worked so well that trump is back in office…… and threatening our allies and continuing to hurt us. Sorry but when in the flying **** was this supposed to work?…. Like ****ing honestly this is delusional. So we got rid of musk… This all amounts to a hill of beans unless we cut off the head of this mother****in snake.

Won't work. We'd still have the infrastructure of dark money, right-wing influencers, and the right-wing media. That's where we must focus our nonviolent efforts.

I supported retired Democratic Marine Kunce in Missouri with 💰 against coward cuck Hawley who voted against Veteran care on GOP burn pits.

I’m in Illinois 16, LaHood, son of a former 7-termer. LaHood’s daddy wants him to have a perma-seat with a new ‘fair map’ joke with one of Daley’s sons.

Leave it to a Democrat Daley to say we’ll undo the 14-3 Illinois map for trump with a newly-minted 30-8 Texas map, a dozens more currently bastardized maps, and six other GOP states brewing.

Thanx for proving just how limited you are on the civics of our country or any state.

Yeah yeah...but if you squint your eyes, what animal does your Illinois district look like?

… the one like that of former GOPedophile Denny Hastert’s, the former Speaker, with his legislative ‘Hastert rule’ still intact, as is the attraction of the GOP for pedophiles.

You must constantly call out your own side or you never call out your own side!

The simplest questions provoke the strangest responses.

No, I hold my own side accountable in moderation. This sadly appears to be something you are not capable of. Hence, the predictable and bland @Josie deflection to "but California!"

I've never seen you say anything against your own side. And when you show me evidence, I'll say it's not enough.

Exactly. You know that you’ll close your eyes and cover your ears when presented with evidence that you dislike, we know it, and you even admit it, so it’s good that we are dispensing with the charade. Ok, now do the “but California!” thing again.

It will work if we sabotage them directly. Like we been waiting for a decade for nonviolence to work. It aint gonna work. The fascists are in charge and control the government nonviolence does not work at that point.

Go ahead wave more signs and crowd more streets. That isnt going to save you.

Just posing for their ICE files.

Nonviolence just means don't kill or physically hurt the opponent. There are plenty of ways to gunk up the system without resorting to violence.

Yes i know what that means, its just futile.

Add Missouri to the list of dictator-supporting states.
The city of Kansas City, a major city that in conjunction with STL, generates the vast majority of Missouri’s GDP, will no longer have a congressional district.

I am against gerrymandering in all of its forms, but in the case of GOP gerrymandering, it’s particularly pernicious because they are diluting the representation for urban areas that are already heavily underrepresented in state and national government, in favor of further increasing representation in rural areas that are already over represented in state and national government.

FFS, the government of Missouri doesn’t even allow the citizens of KC to manage their own police department.

I can’t stand those backwards jerks running Missouri. I have always supported the wise planning and forward thinking of the Kansas City area with the Truman Sports Complex in Missouri having two fine sports venues- Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium. Still two great places to watch the Chiefs and the Royals.

But the Royals want a new stadium downtown, in North Kansas City, or in the area of the “old” Sprint Campus in Overland Park. The Chiefs are deciding whether to renovate Arrowhead yet again, or to build a new stadium complex near the Kansas Speedway off of I-435 and I-70 in Kansas. I’m now hoping the Chiefs make that move and leave the State of Missouri with no professional football teams when they used to have two.

That would really suck for the city of KCMO. I think the city of KCMO is pretty poorly governed right now, but I hope they keep the Chiefs. I don’t know why they don’t build the Royals a new stadium on the east side of downtown, there is hardly anything of value there right now.

BTW, once Laura Kelly’s term is up, we will likely be looking at backwards jerks running Kansas too.

In Missouri, Democrats currently hold 2 out of the 8 Congressional districts, which is 25% of the Congressional districts there. Harris received about 40% of the vote from that state, but Missouri's GOP Governor wants the Congressional districts to be redrawn to take away one of the 2 Democrats districts. If it happens, that will result with only one Congressional Democrat, which will be 12.5% of the Congressional districts there.
So? Newsom is taking republican representation to even lower than that and you cheer him
