The Houston Rockets game broadcast, in which they defeated Portland to head into the second round against the Lakers, began just after the second half started, and many Houston fans were angry. Me? Not angry at all. I got to see a game that will go down in history as one of the greatest ever played. Chicago beat Boston, but it took 3 overtime periods to do it. I am not a fan of either Chicago or Boston, but was on the edge of my seat pretty much the whole game. When one side looked like they were down for the count, they came back and tied the game. In fact, that game was tied more than 60 times, and the heroics by both teams in the last 2 minutes of regulation, and in all 3 overtime periods was unbelievable. This is the stuff legends are made of, and I am happy as hell I missed half of my Rockets game to see this.

That Boston / Chicago game is one of the greatest basketball games I have ever witnessed in my entire life. Hell yea!!

I was upset. If games are going to be shown back-to-back on national television, then they should be aware of possible triple overtimes and time constraints. The Celtics/Bulls game was good, but once it went into that third OT while I was waiting for the Rockets game to show I just lost it. I mean, usually they flip to the game every other timeout, but this time it was only commercials with maybe 1 update about the game no one could watch till the 2nd half.

ESPN usually broadcasts onto one of its many alternate stations, which is why I don't mind them. TNT can suck it. ABC too, even though that's ESPN.

Actually, the Rockets play the Lakers in Los Angeles tonight, and I have a really bad feeling about this one. I hope the game before it goes to.... let me see here....

Nine overtimes. LOL.

Scratch that sentiment. Despite the Lakers opening up a cut on Battier's head that took 4 stitches to close, Kobe Bryant kneeing Yao Ming in the head and no foul being called, Kobe putting Yao down with a cheap shot to the knee, and the more than a couple of dozen cheap shots committed by the Lakers, the Rockets prevailed and beat the Lakers in the first game.

This was also one of the dirtiest and cheap shot artist basketball teams I have ever seen. The Lakers are much better than that, and I am wondering just what the hell got into them that game. I was shocked to see some of the stuff they were doing on the court, and was even more shocked to see that no fouls were being called on practically any of all those cheap shots.
