Military Preparing Attacks on Mexican Cartels

The War on Drugs has resulted in cheap, high quality, readily available cocaine, the widespread legalization of pot, fun with opioids:

From 1999-2023, approximately 806,000 people died from an opioid overdose. This includes overdose deaths involving prescription and illegal opioids.

And our catastrophic little meet-and-greet with fentanyl.

Can we try decreasing demand now, please?

The president of peace went to bombing Iran and now is drawing up plans to attacking people on another foreign soil before the first year. Crazy.

How do you do that?

There ya go. Call me in couple of days when you've read them.

Did you want a sound bite? A three sentence summary? An easy fix? That's the problem. It's a vastly complicated medical subject because drug addiction is a medical disease, best solved through the hard-earned data gathered by medical doctors.

One thing they agree on, spending endless billions and imprisoning hundreds of thousands hasn't made a dent.

Prevention, treatment, aftercare, education, rehabilitation, that's where you begin.

“Prevention” is what the Drug War tries to do. It doesn’t work. And not all drug users are addicts. There’s going to be a demand for stuff like Cocaine and MDMA in the party crowd regardless of addiction.

I agree treatment and rehabilitation should happen for addicts, but unless you are going to force treatment, which is another form of imprisonment, there are a lot of addicts who won’t go through it.

Mexico is certainly taking Trump's military planning quite seriously. This is what happened during debate in their Senate on the presence of foreign (American) troops.
