McCain is what happens when you have mediocre talent and your daddy is a famous admiral, and later,

McCain was toast to me after the Keating Five scandal, somehow avoided Abscam
and recently ran a presidential campaign that a muslim sympathizer could have beat him and in fact one did

McCain actually believed the positive press the NYT gave him leading up to his primary win in 2008,
then they left him at the altar over obama. He probably cried each morning over why they didn't love him
anymore. And yet, he continues to try to play to liberals for affirmations.
IMO of the 100 senators roaming around Washington, DC in his time, there may be only from 5 to 10 who had
less intellectual credentials than McCain. He ranked 790 out of 796 in his graduating class at the Naval Academy,
knowing both his father & grandfather were Naval Admirals it's very likely he was a legacy
appointment who never would have been accepted to
the academy if it were not for those circumstances!
