I don't think being Anti-Mcdonalds means you're anti-American.
Re-read the posts... My statement has nothing to do with being "anti-McDonalds". It's about being against freedom and liberty.
In America. You have the freedom to think that Freedom and Liberity are piece of **** sentiments. To deny him that right in turn makes you against freedom and Liberity. An Oxymoron I know, but I believe my logic is sound.
We also have the right to tell him that his thoughts are anti-American.
Though, I agree with you, that allowing anti-American thoughts, and speech to be said is 100% American.
I also think that people throw around terms like "Anti-American" far too much. It's absurdity that stems more from partisanship than anything else.

That wasn't my point.
When you take away one freedom on a loosely based correlation, then none of our freedoms are safe.
When a very liberal person agrees with a very conservative person about the stripping away of freedoms piece by piece, it is a cue that something is happening in America... for the worse.

Nor should they be.
On a side note, I fond it amusing that some who cry "our freedoms are being taken away by this" are some of the same folks that have no problem with making drugs illegal
denying gays the freedom to marry
and who get upset over a 0.35 second tit shot from Janet Jackson.
Yes those people have proven what hypocrites they are.
How else can we ensure that people don't make the wrong decision?
I don't need to look up freedom. I've been confronted with its horrible visage, and declined to grant it my affections.
In America, people are still free to make wrong decisions. Well, everywhere except SF. Oh wait.... people in Ca are always making wrong decisions.
If people were responsible enough not to become obese, they would have this 'freedom' you speak of, however they aren't this responsible.
If you want to participate in this for a laugh. Is it the individuals at fault or the fast food places?
In the list of reasons/causes for fat kids in this country, the toy in a Happy Meal has a weak correlation at best and would have to be way down that list.
The potato chip aisle at the grocery or the soda machine at the park would be much higher on the list. Mebbe California has plans to make those items accessible by only 18 year old's and up.
It's a dumb friggin' law.....
.
That makes no sense. Even if it was Ok to take rights away from obese people (which it's not) you are taking rights away from skinny people.
Should alcohol be banned again because some people are alcoholics?
SF is taking freedoms away from a private business because they don't like how they advertise.
I'm getting so sick of the nanny state path we are on. This country is about individual freedoms and that includes the right to sell or buy legal products without government intrusion.

Kids like McDonalds food cuz it tastes good. Parents just need to reflect good sense when it comes to how often they visit...
Prosperity!
Losing the freedom to become an obese pig and burden the health-care system can only be a boon to the nation.
Now that you've issued a normative change that parents should undergo, how do you plan to make them do this?
Better education...
